Onyx paws ear twitched towards twilight paw, she debated a greeting, but decided against it. Once getting rid of the bones of her vole she returned to her spot and started grooming out her fur, she felt she had done a decent amount of stuff so far no training though, she supposed her mentor was just busy.

"I promised. I promised their mother I would take care of them Springnose. I promised I'd give them the best life I could." She mewed over the lump in her throat. She looked down at the dead kits, grief shining in her eyes. "Now they wont get a chance to live that life because I failed to take care of them." She leaned down and touched her nose to each tiny body, ignoring the stench of death.

His tail twitched in surprise as he saw Springnose walk into her den. Hmmmm. He thought as he finished his mouse and sat up as he licked his whiskers. "The kits." Was all he said, answering Rabbitfoots question. 		*Chloe*

Rabbitfoot sighs. "I thought so." He closed his eyes. "They were too young." He opened his eyes.

Frostear walked up to them. "What happened?" She asked yawning. Her eyes looked at brackenleaf searching for a explanation.

"When Starclan decides its time, there's nothing you can do," I meowed softly, sympathy growing for the shecat. "You upheld your promise as long as physically possible, there wasn't much you could do without a nursing queen. They're safe in the stars, playing with their mother now."

She nodded at his words, finding truth and them though the pain in her heart did not ease. "They were so young." She murdered before getting up and looked down at them.
