Neptune stopped a bit away from the she-cat. His whiskers twitched with amusement, although he was still ready to fight or run. "No, you're not. You may be able to go anywhere, but that doesn't mean you should. You'll get in trouble sooner or later. Or have you already?" |

"Trouble for what? Existing writhing 3 tail lengths or you clan rats?" She snorted her ears pinning back slightly at him, it was kinda hard to be mad at a cat who was smaller then her, and wasn't snapping back at her, but oh well, she would just ACT like she was mad. |

"That's more than 3 tail lengths" Neptune pointed out, "The borders back that way. And you'd get in trouble for hunting in here, or scaring the prey away. We aren't rats, we're cats, same as you. We may have different life styles, but that doesn't mean we're that different." |

"I'm aware of where you pests dub your borders, and ever heard of sarcasm?" she snorted with an eye roll. "I'll hunt where I please, just because you pests dibs someplace don't mean every bit of prey is yours" she said flatly, why wasn't he getting mad! Most clan cats would have threatened her! Or snapped at her! Literally ANYTHING other then whatever the heck was happening right now. |

"We need the prey in our borders to survive. We live in groups, I assume you know already, where the strong cares for the weak. And to feed the weak or kits, we need the prey. We avoid travel because most of us know danger can swoop upon us like a hawk on an eagle. Borders are for keeping dangerous cats out. Though it may not physically stop them, the borders are warnings. Cats who ignore the warning are punished, or told to stay out." Neptune gazed at her calmly. "I also assume you knew that already-You don't look stupid-but in case you didn't, now you do." |

Wait was that a compliment or an insult? "it's not that hard, plus, if someone were to chase a mole or something across the borders, that means fair game don't it? So really screeching like a dying rat scares all the prey off, leaving you all hungry, because you care for others, I bet you stronger cats are weakened during leaf bare making threats worse, once you learn how to avoid hawks and eagles they ain't a problem, or learn to kill them" she mused. "Also, if you don't move, you loose opportunity, having a home is nice, until said home looses its safety, and then what? Do you all just, hide in your dens shivering like kits?" |

"Our home is fine. We can move if needed. Like I said-Borders are there as a warning. When the stronger cats grow weaker, borders are there to protect them-us. They serve as a warning, and if somecat had came before, we'd have probably chased them off, or fought them. They have that memory when they look at the scent lines, and they usually stay off. We care for others because they deserve to be cared for. When you grow old, will you have someone to care for you? If so, what about when they grow older? No one, right? We protect the kits because they are the new blood of our clan, so when we, the current warriors, grow old, they can care for us, and the cycle repeats. And you have no idea how much prey rouges scare away." Neptune replied, an ear twitching. |

Ok how was he not mad yet? she was literally insulting his EXISTENCE! It actually made her shut her mouth for a moment. "when I grow old, I will keep going just the same, do what every rouge does when they grow old, bet you never thought about us huh? didn't think so, you claim to care for others but let strangers starve to death, saying your way of life is good is like saying death is good, oh? and you have no clue how many cats you let die just to keep your flea covered pelts happy and fed" she replied coldly glaring at him, alright perhaps she was a tad mad. |

"What you do when you grow old? Lemme guess, starve. Because you can't hunt because you are old." Neptune regarded the she-cat. "We keep them away because they can hurt our way of living. They can, and will, hurt us. It's so much easier and better in a clan. You know, I used to be a loner, and I lost everything." Neptune's voice caught on the last sentence for a second, and he growled to himself softly for letting any weakness show. |
