Kestrels expression went from annoyance, to disgust, to hatred, withing 10 seconds. "then you should understand, but it seems, you don't, and for that, you're just as much a fool as a young kit" she replied flatly, her eyes were narrowed to slits, fur slightly fluffed up, she didn't have time for this pest, mousebrained clan cat, didn't deserve her eyes on his flea ridden pelt! |

Neptune let a small bit of longing and grief in his eyes before glancing away, lashing his tail for annoyance at himself. "You shouldn't be here, and I may be reluctant to take my claws out, but that doesn't mean I won't." |

"do it, I dare you, your like some kitty pet, just to your bossy leader rather then a two-leg, you say you understand, and yet here you are, defending something that isn't even helping you, if I had attacked you instantly, who knows why I didn't do that, you would probably be dead before your friends ever found you, your nothing but some pathetic mouse" she hissed pinning her ears at him, a flicker of something crossed her face, and then anger replaced it again, no way was she letting some- clan cat boss her around! |

Neptune's eyes clouded for a heartbeat before he shook his head, clearing the look. "I may not be big, but big is not the best thing for a cat to be. I am fast, and I may be made for hunting, but I can fight and will if you strike." |

Kestrels eyes stayed on the toms, she didn't speak, move, even twitch for a good few moments. Part of her did want a fight, but she could practically HEAR Ebony in her head, no wait did she hear ebony? Her head turned for a few seconds to make sure she didn't gosh I'm going crazy she blinked a few times and glared back at him. "being small also isn't the best thing to be, mouse" she mused. She always had that itch, in her claws, just randomly, any time she was angry, anxious, or feeling any negative emotion, which apparently, according the Ebony, was bad, why? hadn't a clue, wait, hadn't she been just like him? Least when she was younger, she had been so alone, and abandoned, then she had wanted someone to care for her, so where was that feeling now? Her originally tensed pelt relaxed and a look of mild confusion crossed her face, why didn't she feel that anymore? Why couldn't she even remember what it was like to feel that? What? Wait, why should she care about some feeling? She didn't need some cat to care for her! (have a taste of denial kestrel, bit of trauma for you Neptune) |

She just, went silent for a few moments, and then a look of anger reformed over her face, covering what had just been there. "I'm not alone!" she snapped furiously and snatched the grouse and started to leave, no no no, she was tired of him, just some manipulative tom messing with her feelings! nothing to it, she was fine |

"I'm fine" she repeated, now out loud, her ears pinned back against her head as she tried to block out his words. Mousebrained,lying, flea ridden, mangy mongrel clan cat! She wanted him to shut up, or did she? URGGGG Kestrel sped up a bit trying to put distance from that cat, she should of ripped his muzzle off before he could speak! |
