"thank you," narmada said before softly frowning, "i'm sure they haven't. perhaps they have just lost sight of you since you are a loner and are trying to get back to you. or perhaps, they're choosing to stay silent for a reason." she sighed, things were often so confusing. though, there must be some reason.

narmada paused for moment, expecting vera to finish the sentence but when she didn't, the shaman's ear twitched. the last part, the 'maybe it's not them' slightly worried narmada- what if bad spirits were trying to get to vera? hopefully not. the female shook her paranoid thoughts out and said, "i see, i hope you reconnect with them soon." she flashed a soft smile before continuing, "thank you again for foraging with me. i don't want to take up any more of your night, so we should probably drop these herbs off by my den. though, we must do this again when you are not busy with the hunters."

(hopefully no spooky spirits haunt vera XD)

"is that so? perhaps i should force the hunters to do the same," narmada joked before walking inside the pack's den, flicking her tail for vera to follow.

inside, most of the pack was getting ready to sleep. there were a few faces by the prey pile eating while others talked in hushed voices by their beds. outside the shaman's den, nersa was readying some herbs to dry. when she saw narmada, she dipped her head.

once narmada reached the shaman's den, she dropped her herbs at the front and spoke to the healer, "vera and i have brought some local herbs, tomorrow we will go over them. you and hathinala."

nersa nodded and picked up narmada's batch of herbs.

"are you injured, vera?" narmada asked, turning to the other wolf, "let us check over your wounds."

vasishta was eating by the prey pile, though far from the others. she was eating a small bird, carefully plucking the feathers and putting them aside. she seemed to be so focused in her task, she didn't see vera. but then- she smelled a lingering scent and looked up. she looked around before her eyes met vera's and she flashed a soft smile.

narmada saw the other wolf's discomfort and furrowed her eyebrows. "i see. let us know if you need anything," she said, briefly glancing at the direction vera was looking before looking at the herbs in her mouth, "would you like those to dry those for you or keep them fresh?"

vasishta watched as vera smiled and then looked back at the other shamans. was it strange that she missed her friend? they were friends, right? vasishta looked down at the feathers and ordered the pile before continuing to pluck the bird's black feathers. once she was done, she began carefully eating the meat of the fragile bones.
