the wolf wrinkled her snout at the 'it takes time' part. the pack had been together for about a full 12 moons and while yes, things were better than they were at the beginning, they still hadn't warmed up to each other. "hopefully," the wolf sigh, watching the golden sun sink below the horizon, "one would think we've all bonded together after everything.. but no. i suppose grudges still hold strong."

"so wise and so true," vasishta chuckled as she turned to look at the now-rising moon. it was almost full, maybe only 4 more days until it was full. she took a deep breath of the crisp air before continuing, "though, I'm not sure how easy it will be for all of them to forgive and let go. saraswati tried once to convince them and only got so far." she sighed before turning to the surface of the lake, watching the stars through the reflection. "they all still stupidly hold onto generational grudges, prejudices and rivalries from their old packs," vasishta commented, accidentally slipping that the pack was actually comprised of fragments of other packs, though it was not much of a secret by now with how all the wolves acted and looked.

"i never assumed you to be the wise philosophical type," vasishta complimented with a smile, "it's admirable." the wolf then stood up to stretch, feeling a pang of hunger in her stomach and exhaustion pull at her eyes. "i suppose you will sleep out here, again?"

the wolf's eyebrows raised and she smiled. "perhaps i will, you never know when the snow will melt and this 'old soul' disappears," the wolf joked before her stomach let out a low grumble. the wolf sighed, her ears pinning back, "but i will have to find something to eat first." she turned her head to the direction of the pack den, debating whether or not to return to get food and tell them she'll be sleeping outside or not. but then again, she wasn't sure if anyone would notice her disappearance. well- she guessed saraswati would.

"i'll be back in a moment, just to check in with saraswati as i left immediately after i heard you'd gotten into a bear fight," vasishta announced, shyly admitting the last part. she dipped her head before walking off at a fast pace...

...the wolf returned back a few moments later, holding a freshly killed duck carcass that she seemed to have caught on her way back. "i hope you haven't fallen asleep already," she called out before she sat down next to vera, dropping the duck carcass. "would you like a bite?"

(after this night, should we do like a quick message in the morning of them parting ways before we time skip to when vera's healed and they can go on a silly adventure tg? :0)
