"i see," vasishta nodded her head before turning to the direction of the den. "i must return. saraswati said i had to escort some of the healers during their foraging mission. she's worried they'll run a rouge or a another bear," she sighed before turning back to vera, "sometimes i wish i was a loner just to get out of my duties."

"i'm surprised by how much she's warmed up to you," vasishta laughed before picking up the geese. "let us walk together then," she said before turning to walk towards the den, looking back over her shoulder to see if vera was coming along.

the wolf raised her skeptically raised her eyebrow and said a muffled, "sure..."
it wasn't long until they reached the lakeside den. pushing through the lichen, vasishta entered and dropped the geese at the prey pile which was looking a little more full. there were no more rats or squirrels, in it's place, several kinds of birds and a freshly caught young doe that had a mangled leg.

the den was mostly full of sleeping wolves with a few of the hunters missing for a early morning hunt. upon seeing vasishta and vera return, queen saraswati jumped down from her ledge and approached the two with a dip of her head. "fair morning, isn't it?" she greeted politely before turning to vera, "how is the wound?"

"they were practically unscathed thanks to your quick take down," the queen praised with a light smile, "thank you for eliminating the threat. i hope you know you will always have my pack's favor." she then turned to vasishta to say, "and for you, silsako and nersa are waiting for you to escort them up the mountain."

vasishta stayed quiet most of the conversation, looking around the den and only looked back when saraswati spoke to her. she nodded at the order and replied, "i'll make sure they're safe."

the second right after vera chuckled, vasishta suddenly remembered vera's proposal to show guide her to the swampy forest. "oh- queen saraswati!" the wolf said out loud with wide eyes, "vera had a proposal after I told her about our unsucessful scouting mission. she's offering to guide me to the swampy woodland as she still remembers the way."

the queen let out a soft chuckle in response to vera's statement before turning to vasishta and raising an eyebrow in interest. "is that so?" she then looked at vera, "well, if you are offering, i won't object." she then gave vasishta a quick side eye before adding on, "but i will request that you keep vasishta 'on task'. she has a habit of wandering off."
