narmada seemed surprised to hear that and her usually pinned back ears perked up. she cleared her throat before continuing, "yes, they must 'lose me for a bit' and start foraging." she turned to the other wolves and shooed them away with her snout. silsiko flinched, used to narmada snapping her jaws at her and quickly walked over to vasishta while nersa coolly followed behind. "let's go vasishta," silsiko chuckled nervously before she walked out of the den.

"oh- yes," vasishta replied, snapping back into the conversation. she turned to follow silsako and nerse but right before she did, she looked back to dip her head towards vera and said, "farewell, i'll see you soon." the wolf flashed a soft smile then took off to catch up with the others.

Narmada - Margārīta Pack -Shaman

"well, I suppose you could help me sort herbs and I could continue our lessons," narmada suggested with a soft smile before she walked into the shaman's den. some fresh and died herbs were scattered on the floor, it seemed the healers had finished prepping everything as they were also a pile of 'discard' root stalks, stems, and other unneeded material from the herbs.

the shaman picked up an empty abalone shell and placed it in front of vera. from a nearby assorted herb pile, narmada carefully picked up a few stalks of a dried herb that heavily resembled sage with it's dull color and similar scent, though it's leaves were shaped completely different. she placed the herb in the shell before explaining, "this is 'fools sage' or what silsiko calls it, 'silver bush'. it has similarities to true sage but is stronger in fighting infections and placing fresh fools sage in or with prey prevents rot or fermentation. I don't know where silsiko found it as it usually also grows in warmer climates but she brought us several bundles a few moons ago. there should be a few piles around to sort into the shell."

"perhaps we should have her lead us to where she found it some day," narmada suggested, thinking aloud. she sorted a few more of the dried fools sage into the shell before moving on to another herb and letting vera sort the rest. beside a dried branch was a pile of dried oval shapped leaves and black-purple berries. "are you familiar with 'salal'?" narmada asked as she transferred the berries into a large cowry shell. "it grows along coastal forests and mountains. thankfully, i encountered some on the way to the mountain and made sure to take several branches."

narmada's ears perked up in interest. "is that so? what do you call it?" she asked before returning to pile it's waxy leaves into one half of a scallop shell. once she was finished, the place the shell on a large sock slab with the other herb stocks and covered it with the shell's other half.
