They move with the gentle ebb and flow of the water, embracing a philosophy that mirrors the fluidity and adaptability of their environment. They are deeply spiritual, often drawing wisdom from the stillness of lakes and the rhythmic motion of rivers. Elders are revered for their knowledge of ancient traditions, and their words are considered law. The herd values community, family, and the interconnectedness of all beings, often engaging in rituals that celebrate these bonds. Appearance: The deer of this herd are a sight to behold with their sleek, streamlined bodies and a unique bluish-grey tint to their fur, which provides excellent camouflage in their watery surroundings. Their large, expressive eyes have a slight bluish hue, and their antlers are slender, resembling intricate coral formations. These antlers are not only a symbol of maturity and status but also serve as formidable tools for defense. They have webbed hooves, aiding in their adeptness at swimming. Gathering Skills: The Herd of Tranquil Waters excels in gathering and foraging, utilizing their unique skills to thrive in their aquatic environment: Swimming: Their webbed hooves and streamlined bodies make them excellent swimmers, allowing them to move effortlessly through water in search of food and resources. Foraging: They have a keen sense of smell and sharp eyesight, enabling them to find the freshest and most nutritious plants both in water and on land. Herb Knowledge: The herd possesses extensive knowledge of local flora and herbs, using them for medicinal purposes and in their rituals. Fighting Skills: While they are peaceful by nature, the Herd of Tranquil Waters is capable of defending themselves and their territory when necessary: Strategic Defense: They use their knowledge of the waterways to their advantage, leading enemies into traps and ambushes within the water's labyrinthine paths. Antler Combat: Their streamlined antlers are sharp and strong, allowing them to fend off predators with quick, precise movements. Coordinated Tactics: The herd fights as a unit, using coordinated maneuvers and communication to protect each other and drive away threats. Rules: 1. No graphics, this includes realistic birth, mating, or murder. 2. 4 Outsider limit. This includes all the herds, not just one. It might be raised if there are enough people. 3. Forbidden ships are currently prohibited. This will change once we get more people- I and the commands determine when that happens. 4. No evil deer unless I and other commands have approved. Sass is allowed, but you can't have an intent to kill everyone. 5. No prophecies unless I and other commands have approved. 6. Follow site rules. 7. Don't make fun of people, while it can be a joke it can still hurt. 8. If you have someone blocked, let us know. 9. Wait to be accepted into the rp. 10. No age gaps above 12 seasons. 11. Please make sure there aren't only non-platonic relationships. 12. No related partners. Adopted or not. 13. Two part names are suggested, but not required. (Example: Running-Water) 14. Gender/pronouns: He/him, trans-buck. Orientation: Demi Personality: Deeply caring and supportive, RiverRun can also be considered as a nitpicking deer as he specializes in the finer details of things. What may be seen as overly scrutinous is truly a deep concern for those of his herd; ensuring that every detail of a plan be discussed ensures the liklihood that everyone will return home. River holds a lot of self-blame and sorrow for any member of the Herd who suffers the ultimate consequence, and he can often be found in the early dawn hours speaking to those who have crossed over -- sometimes he swears they talk back. Likes/interests: River is deeply spiritual and greatly enjoys the different rituals and practices that his heard has passed down for generations. He finds pleasure in communicating with his herd and will tentatively listen to scouting reports, stomping stories, and Fawn babbling for hours. Dislikes: Fighting within the Herd, the guilt of losing a member, being alone. Relations: A protector to all who call themselves Tranquil, and a close confidant to the commander, Ripplemoon. RiverRun views every relationship as sacred and insurmountable, diligently acting to settle whatever qualm may arise, even at the detriment of himself. Gender/pronouns: they/she Orientation: Pan Personality: A shy young doe, SilverWave is weary of new deer, making her very slow to approach and open up. They love being able to care and provide for their herd. Once she's opened up SilverWave is friendly and very supportive of her friends, wants to help them wherever she can. They're a very spiritual doe, and loves learning more about the world around them from their elders. Likes/interests: Providing, running, racing her friends, learning more about the plants around her, listening to the stories of her elders. Dislikes: Fighting, crowds and being crowded around, arguing with her friends (she'll usually concede to their point) Relations: n/a Role: Gatherer Appearance: A silvery grey young doe with blue eyes and a cool brown patch covering the top of their muzzle and head, and another over her shoulders and back down to their tail.
