Zeljka walked around the field a bit more sniffing the air. Her stomach surely was starting to give out even stronger signals that it needed food and fast. Her thoughts traveled back to the two males she had met just recently, Longfang and the other one. Were they hungry too? Who would hunt food for them? Of course Zeljka knew that the two others were adults and had managed to grow up well, so they probably knew well enough how to hunt. However, she couldn't help but have that lingering thought... As she sniffed the air again, she caught a scent of hare which caused the female to lick her lips hungrily. Now that she had rested a little, she definitely was up for an another little race. She trotted after the scent hoping that she would be able to catch the hare.

The young female didn't have to trot too far before she saw the target. The poor unknowing hare was eating some flowers on a small patch and didn't really seem to pay too much attention to its surroundings. Zeljka licked her lips again as she hid herself behind the bushes and just waited. She could feel how each of her muscles tensed ready for action when the time came. And then it happened. Almost like someone would bothered the hare and disturbed its peaceful moment, the hare bolted. The sudden movement didn't escape from Zeljka's keen eyes and faster than lighting she bolted after the hare giving her everything to the chase that she hoped would be over soon.

It seemed that Zeljka's assumption had been correct and not too many moments later, the female returned back to her earlier spot on the field carrying a rabbit in her mouth. She seemed to be rather proud of her catch even though it certainly wasn't the first time that she had caught one of those.

"I should go and see, if either of the two are hungry.... what if they haven't eaten for a long time?" the female whispered before the tip of her tail curled up again as she trotted back towards the creek where she had originally came from carrying the hare carcass in her mouth. She didn't know, if either of the other canines would still be there, but at least it didn't hurt to check, right? Others would call it foolishness, meanwhile some would say that Zeljka had very strong motherly instincts, but the young lady dog in question didn't have any idea which one it would be. She was only doing what she felt right in her heart.

"S-stop you're hurting me!"
A loud, pained whimper echoed through the air; Drez felt his entire being quiver with fear as pain shot through his body. He was used to pain, it was part of his life and learnt to accept it as part of himself. The Cane Corso however meant his words when he said he was itching for a fight and in the blink of an eye had the wolf hybrid slammed into the nearest tree. The blond canid found himself suffering flash backs of his past; the screams that once rung in his ears and the scent of his own blood. Drez failed to realize he was being attacked until he screamed for mercy, his voice reaching a high pitch as if being murdered.
"Oh shut the hell up!"
The Cane Corso snapped his jaw at the other, his temper starting to flare up as he pressed more of his weight into Drez, his eyes locked upon his.
"Yer crying out like a bitch! All I did was slam you into the damn tree-what ya got some form of mental defect? Ya that damn sensitive?! Bullshit! Fight back! If I hurt you so damn much THEN SHOW ME YOU ARE AN ALPHA!!"
The words faded in Drez's mind, his ears ringing as his breathing picked up; the memories refused to die down which caused his eye to gloss over. He felt pressure upon his body and his blood run cold. He barely heard the words being spoken to him but the tone was mocking him; his thoughts telling him he was worthless and pathetic yet there was a part of him that had enough. He dealt with enough for one day, for one lifetime and he had finally lost it. Drez black out in a rage filled haze.

With a nearly demonic snarl Drez slammed his body into the muscle bound Cane Corso, only his rage fueled by trauma was present, the timid male was no longer and all that mattered was his own survival. The brindle canine's eyes widened as he was forcibly shoved away; a slight smirk formed upon his muzzle soon after.
"Now this..is what I am talking about! No longer the damn victim to yer mind!!"
With a bark he launched himself at Drez only to end ramming into a tree, Drez had jumped to the side and simply opened his jaw as wide he possibly could then landed a firm bite upon the male's ankle. A loud howl of pain escaped the Cane Corso's lips as his entire body was being dragged. Much like a scene from a horror film the brindle canine was being dragged as blood streamed from his wound. However, the Cane Corso wasn't one to lay down and die, he knew at this moment the timid male he had just met was a fighter locked away in his own body. He wasn't a born killer but rather forced to be one. With a firm jerk and twist of the ankle Drez had forced the male trapped in his jaw to roll onto his back; failing to see foresee what came next but it mattered little for when one is pushed into a wall and threatened death means little. Without a warning the combative brindle canid turned calculated and twisted his muscular frame to use his free hind leg to firmly claw at Drez's milky blue eye; instinctively Drez opened his jaw to cry as his head jerked up, in which the Cane Corso took the opportunity to jumped into him.

A yelp of surprise came from Drez as he found himself pinned down; his vision slowly returning to find him face inches from the other male's.
"….kinda figured ya got a harsh past but damn never had someone actually…bite me"
A firm grunt escaped the Cane Corso before slowly getting shifting off of Drez's frame with a slight limp.
"…anyway I'm Trent….Trent Hallowson, once a guard turned to forced killer…."
A low growl left his lips as his head jerked away.
"…o-oh you have last name too? Erm I'm….Drez Norman Pikemore…."
Drez spoke as he slowly stood his feet, guilt flooded his heart upon the sight of Trent's injured leg. The male seemed to notice and scoffed.
"Well Drez yer forced with me now until my leg heals, would be nice ordering someone around….hope yer used to hotheads like me"

Longfang finally wakes up and he stood shakily. He takes a couple steps and sits down painting from the effort. He stood again. Over and over again until he nods that Zedjla's sent drew stronger. He paints very hard and he shakily comes into sight his fur a mess and full of blood. He crashed into a pile of moss that grew at the base of a tree. He closed his eyes as he slipped into unconsciousness.

As he slept he twitched making the wounds to start bleeding again. He stpped twitching as his breath grew shallower and shallower. His blood coating the moss as it soaked it up. His ears and eyes started twitching and he started to yell faintly. "My sister, I want you!" His voice crad sadly. His shoulders started heaving as he started to cry and sob as he fell into a really deep sleep. His wounds started to get infected and inflamed. His pelt grew hot as he caught a fever. His fur started to flatten from his sweat. He barely holding on to life. His mouth opened and his tongue started to lull out.

Zeljka had chosen to take a different route back to the creek. This one was more like a mountain path, but even though it was slightly different from the one she had originally followed when she had arrived to the meadow, it seemed safe enough. She was still carrying the hare in her mouth and it seemed that the area she was in was rather peaceful. Zeljka trotted towards the creek with long and airy strides enjoying the weather and the sense of freedom. She had heard some faint voices, but couldn't have made out any words being said, and thus she had decided not to pursue the sounds.

Zel wasn't one of the dogs that would push her snout into others' businesses. So far her withdrawn and aloof way of life had ensured that she hadn't been many stronger canine's interest and thus hadn't gotten into fights. She had a nagging feeling that something wasn't right, but also didn't know, how she could check the thing out while feeling safe?

She soon reached the area where the three of them had met and discussed a little. Their scents were still lingering there, even though it had been a while. The female stopped as she lifted her paw again sniffing the air. She could catch a faint scent of the other canine as well as some strange dog. Zeljka took a tiny step towards the smell of Drez, but hesitated. Should she go and see if he wanted the hare? But at the same time, her thoughts went on Longfang and she shook her head.  She didn't know which path she should choose. Maybe neither of them wanted her food and she would need to eat it up all by herself. Of course she could do that too, but it was in her blood that she needed to share with the others.

The situation gave a sense of unease but also an odd sense of comfort. In any other situation he would have ran from the canine forcing his companionship but perhaps it was the guilt he felt with each limp of the Cane Corzo that kept him. Yet, he also felt if this canine had forced him to linger even if not wounded he would have stayed regardless. Never had he been wanted to stay near another living creature's side, even if it was temporary it gave an odd feeling in his chest; as if he was wanted.
"Yer too damn silent-I'm not gonna bite you if you talk and stop staring at my limp-now walk by my side"
Trent snarled a sharp command which caused a jerk of Drez's head. He hadn't realized he had been walking behind the male and was quick to correct his behavior. With a lowered head he nervously eyed the other with his sole working eye.
"M-my apologie-"
"DO NOT apologize!"
Trent snapped back with a nip at the blond male's ear, a brief reminder of who was in charge.
"You had your reason to walk behind, it's not your fault you are fucked up"
The words came blunt and harsh; instinctively Drez winced at the words but soon recovered and gathered his courage to peer towards Trent to get a better full of the canid, a curious glint in his eye as he slowly walked with his chest out. 'Why….does his harsh words..help me..?', confusion was all he felt. When it came to others he would always shy away when words came as aggressive or directed towards him. Due to his harsh past such words may cause flashbacks given his parents spoke the cruelest things ever since he was a pup, yet it felt as if Trent was a kinder soul. It was difficult to force the walls Drez had surrounded himself with when near this male; it felt like they had known eachother in another life, perhaps it was fate that brought them together. Perhaps Trent was the friend he needed to keep himself grounded.

"Y-yeah…it's just..hard you know..?"
The wolf hybrid spoke a bit hesitantly, uncertain how the other may react.
"Not need to tell me twice"
The Cane Corso scoffed with a slow eye roll, despite the limp he not made a single indication of discomfort nor pain, a sign he was used to pain.
"Had some bitches take me through the ringer, I was bred for one thing but forced into another-then they complain when I react on instinct"
His muzzle wrinkled in disgust before eyeing Drez closely.
"I hate the arrogant bastards I meet, they refuse to admit we are all flawed or our breed is for a sole purpose that humans make use of, some of us are made for hunting and others companionship, then we got some wolves who think they so big and tough or made of sheer muscle-CANT EVEN SEE THEIR BUILD FRON THE FUR!!"
The Cane Corso roared out the last part with venom. Drez couldn't help but tilt his head with even more curiosity present, the male had a point. During his travels he had met numerous wolves who try to make themselves seem as if they are a pit bull or some other bully breed, when in truth Wolves weren't nearly as muscle bound. He watched as Trent's muscles rippled underneath his short fur like a crashing wave; this was a guard dog and one to not mess with.

Drez was about to speak until he caught whiff of blood once more, his brow raised in confusion, 'Been…smelling blood a lot today…', he thought to himself then slowly sped up his pace to a set stride in direction of the scent. He soon inhaled the familiar scent of Longfang and furrowed his brows a little; he could hear Trent complain in the background but was far too focus on reaching his destination to listen. 'He really is one for drama, Longfang, wonder what he did this time….should I even bother? He had even admit to trying to chase Zelkja, everything about this wolf raises flags…', he sniffed the air once more. 'Zellja doesn't seem to be with him, good….not know what this male may do to her…he seemed so desperate for her attention…it's depressing as it is…pathetic for a male….', the last words he never thought he'd ever hear nor think to himself but it was true. Longfang was a grown male wolf and yet he seemed to relay upon two strangers he had just met. Drez had been through much in his life but learnt to be self-reliant and knew Zelkja was the same. He knew what isolation could do to another but Longfang needed to learn how to tend to himself; the words Longfang had spoken echoed in Drez's mind from earlier, how he seemed so insistent on seeing him at the creek which was impossible.
"The hell?!"
Trent's voice broke through the silence, in a defensive stance he pushed Drez behind him with a glare. Before the two was none other than Longfang, the wolf who not only managed to drown in the very creek Drez bathed himself in and shares far too much of his personal life, was now rendered to a beaten mess.
"Wonder what happened to this poor sode"
The Can Corso huffed a little then padded closer to sniff at the uncomfortable wolf, his gaze then went towards Drez and was quick to notice the weary gaze.
"…ya know him?"
He arched a brow, hesitantly Drez nods.
"Just met him today….and erm…"
He was uncertain if should share his next words but felt Trent may understand even if a vague answer.
"….not….Alpha material…."
His words faded off but to his surprise he was correct; Trent gave a firm grunt of understanding.
"Aye now those sorts all too damn well, not very big thing, the wounds seem fresh"
With a glare Trent limped around the wolf and sniffed around.
"How is his fur so damp? Wolves are unable to sweat…"
He grunted firmly, taking his time to check the wounds.
"Perhaps…it was from earlier when he nearly drowned…"
Drez spoke up as he used his teeth to gather moss.
"Drown? What from the creek but ways from here? Or did he come from south?"
The Can Corso asked as he watched Drez cover Longfang's wounds with clamps of moss with a nod of approval. Moss was grand for absorbing liquids and had been used for centuries given the healing properties, Sphagnum moss has antiseptic properties which helps with reducing the risk of infections. Since Longfang was already laying upon a pile of moss there wasn't much one needed to do.
"…yes"
With the wounds patched to the best of a canine's abilities Drez answered with a sigh.
"…the hell?! How does he drown in that damn swallow ass Creek?!"
As expected Trent didn't hold back in his words.
"He was trying to chase a female we had just met…then he supposedly tripped over a rock an-"
"Chase a female?"
Drez was interrupted once more by the Can Coros but only gave a nod in response; the brindle canid's eye nearly turned red with rage.
"I..think it was a misunderstanding but I honestly fear for the Borzoi….her neck was…oh moons…."
Drez's voice shook with sorrow but he sucked it in.
"I…will catch you up to sped later, but for now…we should let Longfang recover from his wounds, at least with them being so fresh we can say he was unable to have any infections"
"Aye true, it takes hours for one to even have them-depends of course, but primarily takes a good…six to eight hours"
Trent gave a grunt as he shared his knowledge then sat down, shaking his head at Longfang.
"Damn thing is a welp….had worse injuries but I'm still breathing"

Longfang suddenly grunts. His legs twitched. His breathing came easily. "Whose there?" He asks barely aware of what's happening. He gasped softly. "What happened?" He paints wincing as he felt something on his hot wounds. "Where is she?" He asks scared for her. "I.." he lasped into unconsciousness. His dreams were vivid as his body started to twitch as it grew stronger. He unconsciously howled loudly.

As she had gotten closer to the previous place, scent of blood hit Zeljka's nose. She knew that strong metallic scent far too well, it reminded her of the bad things. Sniffing the air bit more, she could smell Longfang's scent the strongest, but there was also scent of unfamiliar male as well as two other scents. One of them she recognized as the wolf she had met earlier, but the other one was completely new. The Borzoi tilted her head a little.

"What has happened here?" she whispered softly to no one as she bit down on the hare carcass bit more and started to walk towards the source of the scents. She felt her tail lowering until it was as close as it could go against her rump. However, it hadn't curled between her legs. Zeljka's ears flicked and her eyes were wide as she could feel her every cell and muscle getting tense the stronger the scents were becoming.

Following the scents, Zeljka eventually reached the area where the three canines were. Her eyes widened when she saw the state Longfang was in, but hints of fear coursed through her body as soon as she saw the Cane Corso. Her other paw was lifted up again as she kept biting the hare almost like searching comfort from the carcass.

"W-what h-happened here?" Zeljka whispered as her ears pressed flat against her skull her neck scruff hiding them well and making her look almost earless. Her wide and scared gaze rested on Drez and Trent, especially on Drez as he was the only one of them she knew. Or at least knew well enough to trust that he didn't have ill intentions towards her.

"..who the hell ya talking about lad?!"
Trent growled at Longfang, he was one of little patience to begin with; he not bothered answering the question an watched as the other had so quickly past out and peered to Drez with a cocked brow; the blind hybrid blinked. '…how does one go from being rendered unconscious to suddenly awake? Did he just take a nap and fell back asleep?', such behavior was foreign to him. Drez had been beaten near to death his entire life and the only times he managed to go to and fro between the two stat of Consciousnesses he would have been visibly out of it. Words faded if not slurred and barely able to think or function as is. Yet, Longfang could speak just fine it seemed followed by the dramatic display. Trent's unanswered question was one he also pondered but felt he knew the answer and felt sick to the stomach, 'He better not be asking of Zelkja…', he softly preyed but soon tensed upon a familiar scent. 'Let me guess…Longfang will magically awaken once more not that his crush is here…or should I say obsession?', it was the only thing that made sense in his mind. Longfang seemed so fixated on the female it was pathetic in its own manner, like a school boy who wanted so desperately for his crush to notice him.
"Sir…the female is coming…"
His voice were soft but his gaze was firmly upon Longfang. Trent has pieced it togather and nods, if Drez was uncertain of someone it was with reason. The male had been tossed his entire life and Trent trusted his opinion.

When Zelkja came Trent moved his position to sit directly next to Longfang, his frame large enough to pin the other down if need be. His chest was puffed out like a gaurd and was solely focused on the male before him. Drez shakily turned his gaze to Zelkja and took a deep breath to calm his nerves.
"…Longfang managed to…hurt himself again, he is fine just needs to rest-"
"The lad is faking it"
Trent grunted but hadn't move an inch from his position"
"His wounds not have infections for they are far too fresh, he already was laying on moss so the wounds are covered, he will recover just fine"
Upon the words the blond canine nods a couple times as his sole eye locked with Longfang, as if silently telling her to be weary of the wolf.
"…we're not sure what happened…"
He gave a soft sigh, drained from the countless, needless drama that had unfolded today alone.

Longfang twitched as he hear voices, but couldn't place them. His eyes open and looks unfocused. His ears twitched as his fur suddenly felt on fire. He tried to move his head but winced as his muscles didn't respond. He yelped, his voice thick with pain and dryness. His eyes slowly focused. His breathing steadies. "What happened?" He asks wincing as He spoke. "I smelled my sister's killer, and finished him off, he was going for her." He pants with effort of speaking. "I, knew him from his smell, he did this to me." He said panting and twitching. "I don't feel very comfortable." He said his voice weakened with each word. "I want to keep you both sa... he said as he fell asleep his body still hot from fighting the infection.

Zeljka listened Drez speaking giving her full and undivided attention to him. She nodded at the blonde wolf taking a step closer towards him.

"He is really unlucky creature, how one can have so much misfortune happening to them in such a short period of time?" Zeljka mused softly looking up to Drez. "Are you alright?" she then asked after gathering enough courage. He didn't seem injured, at least not in the same way as Longfang was. Her dark eyes, however, carried worry in them before she turned her gaze to look at the other male. Zeljka's ears pinned a little, but not in a hostile manner. She was just afraid and uneasy around unfamiliar canines.

"I can't smell any infection in the air," Zeljka said as she nodded at Trent's words. "Though... my nose isn't very good, my eyes see, but Zeljka's nose..." the female said and she definitely would have blushed in embarrassment, if she could have. "However, it's relief to hear that he's on the road of recovery," the white Borzoi said having set the hare carcass down, so that it was now resting at her paws.

However, when she heard that Longfang had killed the other wolf, Zeljka felt fear instantly rush through her and she trembled a little. She didn't like killing and was terrified that one day she would end up at the wrong end of the bite. She frowned when she heard the last words he had said.

"Keep us both safe? Why?" Zeljka asked tilting her head.
