Zeljka
Zeljka nodded when Drez promied to talk with Trent. She gazed the blonde wolf with her gentle yet bit sorrowful gaze before her attention turned to the other male. She might not know him well and had just met him few hours earlier, but it was rather evident that something was bothering the male. She wished to know what it was that had made him so distracted, but also knew that it wasn't her place to ask. It was a private matter and she was nowhere near the position nor status where she could comfortably ask that kind of question. Allowing Drez to take the lead, she watched the other male walk after Trent choosing to wait a little. She wanted to give the two some space, but also wanted to be close to Drez. She didn't know why, but for some reason being near him felt the most comfortable, at least for now.

The white female allowed Drez to get a bit over a tail's length away from her before she followed the male. Her steps were soft and wary, almost like she would be walking in a dense forest stalking for the prey. She didn't trot like she usually did, nor did she lift her paws high. No, instead this time she focused on being absolutely silent keeping her head lowered in order not to appear threatening, but her behavior wasn't because of her being fearful. She just wished to avoid any unnecessary conflicts. However, whatever she might have been waiting for the two's talk, it certainly wasn't the other male poking the other's cheek in a friendly way. The surprise made Zeljka stop almost a tail length from Drez as she lifted up her head watching Trent at first before her dark gaze fell on Drez before it went back to Trent once she heard him to address her.

She listened his words quietly trying her best to find hidden meanings or even threats behind those, but she couldn't find anything. Glancing at Drez again, she couldn't sense fear towards the male from him and that calmed Zeljka down too as she once more gave her full focus to Trent. She nodded at his request telling him silently that she had heard him and would be happy to look after Drez. However, it was the last part that made the Borzoi's tail rise up a little as her tail started to wag. It might have been a simple request, just to help the other to groom themselves, but for Zeljka a request like that would be the same as if someone had offered a freshly killed buffalo to the pack.

"I will," Zelka replied softly, but her eyes carried tiny spark of joy and happiness in them. Such a simple request really had made her day and she didn't mind even a single bit grooming the other. It was something that she loved to do after all. Zeljka, however, didn't get to dwell on those feelings for too long before she heard a howl. It was almost ethereal, beautiful yet mysterious. She could feel the sound travel through her slim body and before Zeljka was even able to stop herself, she stood a bit straighter and braced her front legs before moving her head back and closing her eyes. Her howl was softer and more sorrowful than the other one's but it was still beautiful and melodic. Some for sure would have claimed that it was a siren's song while others would say it was an angel's cry. Her howl wasn't as long as the other one had been and once her voice seemed to die out, she lowered her head ashamed.

"I'm sorry, I don't know what came over me. I couldn't stop myself," Zeljka apologized softly and ashamed. She had just allowed herself to follow the instincts without even stopping to think would that be appropriate at all. Her breed used to communicate with each other by howls a lot, it almost seemed like it was their second nature, she had always relied on sounds even when she had been a tiny puppy. She lifted her gaze to face Drez after Trent had asked them to gather their things. It was almost like the female was searching for acceptance for the other, almost like trying to see, if the other was angry at her for some reason. She didn't know why the thought had crossed her mind, but it had happened in past. There had been a time when others had tried to silence her inner voice and they really had succeeded in that.

However, the longer she was with the two males, the more self confidence she was starting to get back and soon she picked up her piece of meat taking few steps towards Drez.

"Shall we follow him?" Zeljka asked softly her tail wagging a little as she was holding her piece of meat in her mouth while waiting for Drez's response.

Relica
Relica looked at the male as her eyes narrowed a little. It was really small movement and barely noticeable, but it still was there.

"I don't have habit to judge others," she said, "If someone needs help, they need it. It isn't my business to judge whether or not that request would be real," she said keeping her tone still polite and friendly. The coal black female couldn't remember much about her early puphood, but when her mother had still been well, she had taught her puppies that they always should help the one in need and never turn their backs on those who might need them. One day it might be that the roles would be reversed and if that would happen, it would be nice, if someone would help them out too. Hearing him asking about his back, Relica turned her gaze towards it.

"Your injures... they look serious," the female said softly as her ears flicked a little to show her nervousness. She nodded at the male telling her more personal things about himself, but as she listened to him, she couldn't help but wonder why the male was choosing to tell all that to her. Perhaps it was just because she had been living alone for so long without having anyone by her side that she found it really difficult to trust someone and didn't really fancy the idea of letting them to get too close to her. The male might trust her, but Relica couldn't say for certain that she felt the same way, there weren't too many to whom the female trusted nowadays after all.

"My markings?" Relica asked tilting her head a little confused. She wasn't entirely sure what the male meant, but decided that instead of jumping into some quick conclusion, it was for the best to just ask for clarification.

"Shouldn't one help those who are in need, whether or not they might be either a friend or a foe?" Relica asked looking at Longfang. Her eyes didn't reveal any emotions that the female might have been feeling, it was yet another coping mechanism she had learnt during her rough past. It was best to hide your true emotions, that way they couldn't be used against you and you wouldn't get hurt. "One never should judge someone by the appearance," she said softly when he stated that she was too kind to him. The black Borzoi definitely knew what she was talking about. She was underweight and her fur wasn't as neatly kept as a show dog would have, but the thick and long coat sure helped to hide the faults that her body might have. Relica truly preferred it that way, she wasn't the dog that would share her own discomfort with others, as long as she could help it.

Drez

It wasn't until he had turned his gaze towards Zeljka had Drez realized how close she was to him and found himself greatly relieved by the fact. It was an endless war in his mind but he never had another canine by his side without asking or to do so willingly. He knew it will take time to get used to but life tends to take rather than give. He was about to speak until Zeljka howled as well, his eyes slowly closing as he took a moment to register the sound and difference tone compared to the other; both seemed to have a refined edge but the Borzoi's spoke of despair she tries so desperately to hide. The blond canine never could bring himself to howl and for this he couldn't hide the admiration he felt for the female; she was broke like he but allowed the very instinct all canines had to reveal. Years Drez had to suppress his own urges, to keep silent despite how vicious the pain was. Blood seeping through his pores but even a whimper could cost him his life; he can smell the metallic fluid and hear the laughter. He knew he wasn't right in the head but even with the freedoms he know has, one's mind simply doesn't move on but rather tries to find new ways of survival. '…when have I howled last…?', trapped within the depths of his mind the canine hybrid soon realized he never howled, at least that he could remember. His birth felt like an inconvenience to his own parents and was stripped away of what made him a canid.
"….it was beautiful…it spoke of what I never could put into words or…show…"
Drez mustered the words as he slowly locked his sole eye with Zeljka, a single eye that revealed tears of isolation and pain he never could put into words.
"…I wish I could one day try it..to howl but my mind…"
His words grew hushed, as if fearing another may harm him for speaking. Upon the realization Drez shook his head with a stifled grunt.
"Sorry…my mind is playing tricks on me….think today was too much for me…"
He admits softly; words laced with reluctance as they came in a nearly forced tone. The one eyes canid had just met Zeljka but felt she wouldn't bat an eye at his words and would perhaps even understand them more than others, but fear is often what led to others to deny th truth, to force them into a state of paranoia. His past is what led Drez to feel each breath taken was a waste, to feel he wasn't worthy of life itself but he still fought to see the next day. '…it's ok….there is always tomorrow….we can try a little…day by day…'.

With a steady breath Drez nods at the Borzoi's words. They should follow Trent and based on his reaction it appears he knew the owner of the howl, with a jerky motion the canine hybrid searched for Trent's being only to realize despite the limp he was making with utmost hast.
"D-damn he moves fast"
He chocked out before trying to match Trent's pace, even so Drez kept stealing glances Zeljka's way to ensure she was following. The last thing he wanted is for her to think he was abandoning her.

Xera

There was only a moment of silence when the other howl came, causing the pale wolf to raise her head slightly, listening intently as her ear flicked. At first she had assumed it was another merely answering her call but as time ticked by her muzzled wrinkled with a cloud of scents. One in which she knew well but the others not so much, what caught her attention however was the scent o another female. '….been some time I had encountered another female….but..why is Trent near her..? A friend perhaps..?', her brows furrowed together. Trent often came as overly aggressive and rough, he was far more relaxed with females but even so Xera had saved his hide more than once, it would have been interesting if he made a lady friend or sorts but felt he would be in need of another lecture that not all females wished to be covered in grime and gore.

As the sound of paws neared the cave entrance Xera kept her gaze locked upon it, uncertain of who may step in.

Longfang smiled. "Thank you anyway, it means a lot to me." He sighs. "You have lots a wisdom, that's good." He winced again. "If you want, I can tell you about how I got the scratches."

He started to think. boy, i know that i should have said less. he raised a eye brow. "I want to learn about you, I said too much.
