Drez's tense body slowly relaxed but he was still cautious, but primarily of Longfang, he has been getting himself in danger far too often for his own liking, and it seemed Zelkja had the same thoughts as he.
"He does….he..managed to drown in the same creek I bathed in….and now had gotten into a fight…."
He muttered softly to himself but was loud enough for Zelkja to hear. Upon the question a small, rare smile formed across his mangled muzzle.
"…yes and thank you for asking..I…"
His gaze slowly went towards the borzoi's neck, his eyes softening soon after.
"….but..how are you? Does..it hurt? I…would like to help but I…imagine you're weary, at least with me I never could trust others with my own wounds…"
His head slowly arched towards the side as he sighed slowly under his breath. Meanwhile Trent seemed to grow more aggravated with each word Longfang spewed.
"Ya got into a fight I guess but why the hell ya telling us this shit lad?! Want me to use your damn 'sister's death' trauma against you?! And what female are you talking about saving?"
The Can Corso was a trained guard and killer; disciplined to protect his master at all cost and never was one to let things go. All Trent knew was Drez was weary of him, he was trying to chase a female and now he was beaten by another male. It seems she shared too much information about himself and it made no sense. He will not allow the male to move an inch until he is specifically ordered by Drez to do so.

"Still, an extra pair of paws helps"
The Can Corso grunted at Zelkja's intake of her senses.
"I…may not be trained but…well…"
Drez spoke up as he used his muzzle to indicate his large gashes across his being.
"…I…have an idea how infections work….and Trent seemed knowledgeable enough to give an estimation of how long it takes for infections to take place…."
His words faded when Longfang mentioned protecting more than one individual and was confused. He gave Zelkja his full attention when she had spoken.
"What are you on pup?!"
Trent snapped at Longfang once more, nipping the wolf's nose in the process.
"It can't be Pikemore yer saving cause he was with me! And his lady obviously wouldn't be with the likes of ya-even she seems confused so clearly she wasn't even in the area, so ya saw a fucking ghost? That it? Ya ate a rotten deer?!"
As Trent ranted Drez blinked.
"Erm…s-sir she..isn't my lady…"
He softly corrected, earning the Can Corso to snap his head at him.
"Shut it Pikemore else ya gonna groom me!!"
This only confused Drez more, it was an odd punishment but kept silent.

"I it's just that." Longfang sighs. "The one I fought, wanted to kill every female that didn't say yes, to be his mate. I know this because he killed all the females his age that didn't say yes."He said. "I was protecting zalkja." He said looking her in the eyes. "He was even around a year younger then me."he winced. "I didn't make the marks on her neck, I saw those." He winced again. "I'm telling you this, because I want you to decide who to trust and to be brutally honest, I don't blame you not trusting me." He sighs. "And whose the newcomer?" He asks waiting for a short break catching his breath. "To answer questions, I need to be asked one at a time." He pants. "I can't change what happened, but I can bring you my loyalty." He said. "If you didn't come along when you did, I wouldn't be here."  He said. "I don't know what to think about this situation." He said. why am I telling them everything? he asked himself. I should be more careful on what I say and who I speak to.

She nodded looking at Drez. "I have bathed in that creek sometimes too and even swam in it when not running," the young female said as she looked at Trent and Longfang. She still found Longfang rather strange, but perhaps it was because she didn't quite know him. Even though he hadn't done anything to her, she still felt a little uneasy around him. "The misfortune seems to follow him like a plague, I wonder... if I have caused it?" the last part of Zeljka's words was barely audible as she lowered her head a little. She had been told to be the cause of everyone's bad luck, so perhaps this just proved that those who had said so had truly been right.

"It's a relief to hear that," Zeljka replied to Drez returning his smile. Her long tail was swaying a little, though the movements were barely noticeable. Hearing the words that had followed the others, Zeljka lowered her head a little as sadness and pain took over her.

"It hurts," she whispered. She wanted someone to comfort her and lick the wound clean taking care of her, but at the same time, she was so scared to trust in anybody. "I..." Zeljka began, but her words softly faded away as she lifted her paw up again. "I... don't know how to let someone that close," Zeljka eventually whispered. She wanted to come to Drez seeking comfort from him, but she didn't. She didn't know him at all and she knew that those thoughts were just because she felt so alone. Should she let Drez handle her wounds? What if he hurt her? Making her choice, she extended her neck a little as she lowered it . Perhaps it was worth taking the risk.

Her musings, however, had been interrupted when she looked up to follow his gaze and saw the bruises and scars on his body. He had had very rough life, it seemed and for some reason Zeljka felt that she wanted to protect the other, without expecting anything return. The young female had to admit that it never happened, she was usually too scared to get too close to others. She nodded at Drez's words.

"Your body tells me that you have had rougher life than most of us," Zeljka mused softly as she looked at the male. Her tone, however, wasn't mocking, but instead it was one of understanding and compassion. Her heart truly ached for someone having those kinds of marks on their body, it wouldn't be difficult to guess where they came from. Even though her past hasn't been happy one and had indeed been rather violent, she had never suffered from infected wounds and could only imagine how terribly the wounds must have hurt during it.

Zeljka then looked at Drez and Trent again when she heard him addressing the other as Pikemore. "Pikemore? Is that your name?" she asked curiously looking at Drez. Her dark eyes held still endless sadness in them, but also curiosity. She definitely wanted to learn more about the wolf, but was also hesitant due to fearing that the other would find her annoying. Zeljka almost wanted to chuckle when she heard how Trent was "interrogating" poor Longfang, but managed to bite her tongue at the right time. Instead she watched the ordeal wondering, if the other male was being a little too harsh on the other. However, what caught  her attention was when Trent had called her as Drez's lady. She looked at the wolf in question feeling confused and even scared. Those words, however, had also changed something in her eyes, but it was nearly impossible to say what it was. What it would be like being Drez's lady? Would he be like Flores had been? Zeljka shivered at the unpleasant thought trying to chase it out of her mind as quickly as it had arrived. When she heard Trent's threat, Zeljka took few more steps coming to Drez's side before she extended her neck and long muzzle to whisper into his ear.

"C-can Zeljka do it, if you don't want to?" she whispered looking rather sheepish and cute, even little embarrassed. She absolutely loved grooming and taking care of one's fur, whether or not it was her own one. Grooming was her passion and it also helped her to calm down and relax as well as ease the anxiety she felt deep inside of her heart. Zeljka, however, made sure to keep her voice very low as she didn't want others to find out about her little secret.

Her attention slowly shifted towards the injured male wolf as she allowed his words to sink in and allowed herself a moment to truly ponder them. What a cruel fate, getting killed, if not agree to be a mate... However, who Zeljka was to judge? She had been taught that her full loyalty belonged to the one who had taken her in and that she was never allowed to even backtalk to them. In fact, Zeljka had never known that you could actually do that and didn't have to agree.

All was fine until the moment she heard Longfang saying that he didn't cause her neck wounds. Zeljka could feel her fur flaming up and even though she barely showed it, his words made her really angry at the other. Flores might have been a monster, but she still didn't dare to disrespect him, no matter how tiny the thing might have been.

"No one is blaming you for these wounds, Longfang," Zeljka said looking at the male. "I know who caused them and why they were done," she added, but her tone suggested that she didn't want to talk about the subject.

As if the situation wasn't odd enough, Trent found himself even more aggravated by the lessor male, particularly when he spoke of loyalty. It not made any sense much like the rest of him. The Can Corso's expression practically screamed, 'why the hell I want your loyalty' and he not even try to hide it. With a scoff he firmly shook his head with a gaze that could kill.
"Right, like I want some pup trying to play the knight in shining armor by my side, and if you are incapable of answering more than one question at the time I can only imagine how limited you are in a fight or when shit turns sour"
His words laced with venom but it was truthful in his own blunt way.
"And no one assumed you hurt the lass"
He added, making his point clear but had a feeling the wolf beneath him would find a way to spin the words or speak more needless information to him. From what he gathered it was only drama with this one, he fought Drez and knew already the broken male was strong enough to defend himself, even the borzoi whose neck was bruised seemed to be the sort to save the self or die doing so compared to the male wolf.

As the conversation continued Drez couldn't help but move his gaze from Trent to Zelkja, then back to Trent once more. It had been some time since he heard so many voices at once, ones that not threaten to harm him nonetheless, but found himself conflicted in the end. His parents hadn't even tried to hide the fact they never wished for his birth, they thought only of the darkest things of him. The blond canid's life was blurred by mindless beatings and isolation from the outside world, 'Is….this normal? To feel so….tense when others are speaking at once?', he could feel his anxiety building in the pit of his stomach but took steady breaths in the attempt to calm himself. With a shaky gaze he peered towards Zelkja once more, silently hoping she either couldn't have caught his nerves acting up or understood how overwhelming the situation was for him. Naturally Drez felt weak for this, the three individuals were jut speaking but his mind always sought to bring him down, he knew nothing would happen to him; Longfang is far too weak to even move, Trent had all the opportunities in the world and Zelkja, even as she had spoken up, wasn't the sort to fight without reason.
"Erm I…can barely..comprehend the fact I haven't been killed yet…"
The wolf hybrid's voice shaky and hesitant as he lowered his head towards Zelkja, as if in shame
"..my scars….are a reminder of….a past I wish to forget"
He sighed under his breath then listened to her next question regarding his name and tilted his head a little.
"I have three names….humans consider that my last name…my Master chose to give me the last name of the male he bought my father from to remember, you can use that name….or call me Drez"
His eyes closed as a chill ran down his spine.
"Moons I need to relax…"
Drez murmured under his breath, only to raise his head once more with wide eyes, had Zelkja truly offered to groom Trent?

At the borzoi's words Trent peered over his shoulder with a soft chuckle, it came deep and rough to the ears.
"Oi that is Pikemore's punishment but yeah ya can join him, especially when a pretty thing has the guts to go near a male like me"
He faced Longfang once more like a well trained guard dog who refuses risk his Master's safety.
"Just ignore whoever the hell this wolf is, he spewing nonsense'

Longfang his slightly. "think what ever you want." he looked away. "I know whatever I say can hunt me later." he sighs. why did I say that? "I know you have some feelings on a stranger." struggled to stand but fell over on his side. "I have on thing to say to you, think you." he bowed his head painting. "this moss is OK, but I need somewhere softer." he said, looking up at the sky. "it looks like a Storm is rolling in." he said. "forget what I said, I know the wolf I just fought, also I really didn't kill him." he lowered his gaze and his tail. "I just wanted to say that, I just stunned him, soon he will follow my blood and kill me." he sighs and winced at what he is going to say next. "I-I'm s-sor-rry, th-that I l-lied." he winced. "I want you to forgive me, if you don't I understand."

Zeljka looked at Drez with a soft gaze. She had noticed how uncomfortable the other was being and could understand it well. The situation must have been overwhelming for him. Zeljka, of course didn't know what was going on in the other's mind, but based on how quiet and guarded he usually was, at least earlier when she had seen him for the first time, she thought that perhaps he liked to have some peace and quiet. She honestly would prefer that too, just to be able to rest and relax perhaps even eat and sleep. It had been a while since she had been able to do either of those properly. Though she ate very little in general, almost like she was a bird and not a full grown canine.

"We all have ghosts haunting us that we don't wish to remember or see," Zeljka replied to him softly hinting that she understood what he meant by his words. She knew what it was like carrying that kind of weight on one's shoulders and how hard it was to forget those past wrongs. It was almost like no matter how hard one was trying, it was impossible to completely let go, or at least she hadn't yet found out a way to do so. Her tail rose up a little when the blonde wolf told her his name and she wagged it a little, almost shyly.

"Nice to meet you officially, Drez. I'm Zeljka," she said even though she knew that he most likely knew her name already. She was just excited to have company for once, especially someone who didn't feel threatening and scary. Zeljka almost blushed when Trent had called her pretty, but her tail was wagging even more now. She clearly enjoyed the fact that she would be able to groom someone. "Thank you," she said softly looking at Trent trying to chuckle a little too. However, she was really shy about doing that, almost like she feared she would be punished just for trying to show some joy.

Hearing Longfang to speak, Zeljka focused her gaze on the male. Concern flashed in her eyes when she saw how weak and wobbly he was. It wouldn't be good for him to walk for too long on his own, who knew what would happen? However, Zeljka also didn't know what she should do. Suddenly remembering the rabbit carcass, she left Drez's side for a moment and picked the carcass up before taking few steps closer to Longfang and placed it near him.

"Longfang, you need to eat to keep your strength up and to aid with your recovery. I know it isn't much..." Zeljka said softly as she lowered her head and returned back to her spot at Drez side giving the blonde male a soft encouraging look. "I forgive you," she then said glancing at both Drez and Trent. She had wanted to say that they all had forgiven him, but she didn't dare to. She had just met them after all.

"Don't think ye got the right to be picky"
Trent snorted at Longfang's words of needing something softer, canines are known for their resilience. Moss and herbs were perhaps the best bet for the wolf's recovery, the Can Corso not understand why this male was whining. He never had the luxury of patience to begin with nor did he care for the wolf, he was a complete stranger to him whose words seem to contradict themselves not long after they are said; he seemed submissive and reliant upon others. Two things Trent hates in an individual.

Drez slowly wagged his tail upon Zelkja's words, it was a nice change of pace being seen but chose to keep silent until he was more relaxed, he wasn't comfortable speaking as often he had; he still was trying to comprehend that the three canines around him weren't going to harm him. With Trent he knew the muscular male would have killed him already if he wished. To his surprise Drez found himself appreciating the combative male's blunt words and hotheaded ways over others. When it came to others the majority tend to hide their intentions or wish to pretend they are friend only to abandon him when Drez needed the most, because of this he learnt to never fully trust others and to focus on the finer details. It was far easier to trust Trent and Zelkja due to this: both individuals had been rather predictable and for them to suddenly turn and attack simply wasn't in their nature. Trent is most likely to do so but the way he behaved earlier suggested he just wanted a companion to protect and be his rough self near. Zelkja gave off a shy, nervous and fearful demeanor, the way her tail tucked between her tail and motions hesitant was that of one who has been abused their whole life, the borzoi never could be reduced to that of their abusers simply for it wasn't in the breed's nature. Such analysis has proven to be the difference between Life and Death for Drez even at such a young age.

The blond wolf hybrid was so lost in his thoughts he failed to realize he had been inching towards Trent, with carful motions he slowly licked at the wound he had given the Can Corso upon his hind leg, cleaning the wound with carful precision as if he had done this many times before. Trent glanced down at the mingle blond male, his gaze softening momentarily before it hardened once more, his decision had been made, especially when Zelkja spoke of forgiving the wolf.
"If storm is coming you best find yourself shelter, if someone who kills females is searching for you to end your life, then fight to the death to have them fall with you."
His words came as cold of Northern frost, he meant every word.
"Because I refuse to put Pikemore in harm's way, and we have done everything we possibly could for you'
With that he turned his gaze to Zelkja.
"My buddy and I will leave now, if you choose to stay with this male wolf then that is your choice, you can come with us however but the choice is yours. Keep in mind this male isn't an Alpha and already has someone who kills females after him"
Trent warned but it was due to fearing the female's safety more than the wolf's. Drez kept his head lowered so he used his teeth to push a clamp of moss into Trent's wound.

Longfang glanced gratefully at zelhka. "Rabbits is actually my favorite." He said softly. "Thank you." He starts eating the rabbit with small bites. "True, he isn't going to stop until one of us is killed. Either him or me, I nean." He said. "Just a piece of advice." He stretched carefully. "It's relief that you two are getting along." He said sitting up. what should I say next? Nothing,  I think,  because they don't trust me yet. his gaze softens. "I know that what I say can... oh never mind." He looks pitifully at the ground. "I want to say thank you, all." He closed his eyes then after a while he opens them, he leans forward and starts eating the rabbit again. "My absolute favorite." He said smiling. "Good, catch." He said dipping his head in respect. "You're quite a hunter." He smiles. "I may be here for a couple days, until my wounds heal."

Seeing Drez wagging his tail, made Zeljka's tail wag even more. It had been so long since she had done something that would cause someone to be happy. It was such a warm and nice feeling and Zeljka could feel the tiniest smile appear on her muzzle as her eyes softened. She watched curiously what Drez was doing when he started to get closer to Trent and started tending his wound. It wasn't often that she had seen males who would be so attentive and caring about other's wounds, she had only seen males who loved to cause the wounds rather than mend them.

She smiled a little when Longfang mentioned rabbits being his favorite. She hadn't known that, but it sure was quite a coincidence, though Zeljka didn't know whether or not it was a good one. She hadn't exactly caught the rabbit with him in mind, but more like had seen someone who had needed the food more than she, or at least she thought that. It wasn't in her nature to go past someone who would need help, especially, if she was able to help in some way. She, however, could feel her stomach rumbling, it had been a while since she had eaten. Perhaps she could hunt again later.

"Thank you," Zeljka whispered at the sudden praise of her hunting skills. She most certainly hadn't expected anything like that, it was rare that she was praised for something and she truly didn't know, how she should react to something like that. However, deep inside it felt good and the praise, even though it had been a very small thing, made her feel warm inside.

Hearing Trent's voice, Zeljka turned her head towards him giving him her full attention as she carefully listened to what he had to say. At first, she felt saddened that they were planning on leaving already thinking that she would be left alone again and she lowered her head a little in defeat. However, when the second part came and she heard the invitation, Zeljka's gaze shot up again meeting Trent's eyes as she tilted her head a little.

"What is an Alpha?" she asked curiously, but feeling also a little confused. She had never lived with a true canine pack, so she wasn't familiar with the terminology they tended to use. Flores's gang had called their leader Maestro, but she didn't know what that meant either. She only knew that he was the one who said the last word in everything. She, however, took a few shy steps closer to Trent and Drez.

"I... I would like to stay with you, if... if it wouldn't be any trouble," Zeljka whispered as her ears almost buried into her pearly white fur. She was afraid and unsure, but she truly wished to stay with the two canines even though she had just met them. There just was something that was making her feel at ease which wasn't something that Zeljka was used to.

Trent focused his gaze upon Zelkja, he not mind answering her question and grunted.
"An Alpha think as the leader of a pack, often a dominant male and female, in some cases the male orders the males whilst the Alpha female orders he females, some packs are keen on that"
He spoke with a slight nod at his words, the rolled his eyes in Longfang's direction.
"I say he is not an Alpha because he was so quick to offer his loyalty to me, when in truth it was Pikemore to give my wound on my leg and proved to me he is not a pup but one who can defend himself, the wolf over there also took your offered food without even asking if you wish to share."
His firm gaze locked upon Longfang but soon stood to his full height and stretched his wounded leg out more for Drez to tend, the blond hybrid finished up and faced Zelkja, his left milky blue eye glistening a little at her words; a feint smile upon his face.
"It'd be…helpful to have another join us…"
His words are shyly and voice hushed once more, he kept his head slightly lowered.
"Moons I'm so awkward…."
He whispered under his breath until he felt Trent push at him with the lower half of his body, causing the blond to jerk up a little an stood fully as well.
"Puff your chest in pride Pikemore!!"
The Can Corso snapped his jaw at Drez before limping a bit ways from Longfang then came to a pause.
"Wear the scars like badges of honor! Get into formation-female in front of me, Pikemore take the front to set the pace as I watch our backs.'
The orders came firmly like a Drill Sargent but Drez immediately followed the orders and went to move in front of Zelkja, he jerked his head over his shoulder as if expecting more orders, the Can Corso limped to stand behind Zelkja without complaint and waited for Drez to walk at a set pace before gently nudging Zelkja to silently tell her to move as well.
"Pikemore what are we doing first?"
Trent rose his voice once more as he waited a moment to check the formation, Drez couldn't help but jump as he walked at a steady pace, not sure where he is heading, until it clicked he was to be in charge.
"…food, we need food, erm….Z-Zelkja can you lead…? If…you can hunt a rabbit then….perhaps you are better suited to lead a hunt..?"
His words came hesitantly but from the back Trent gave a pleased grunt.
"There we go, order us around, we gotta pull our weight 'round"
The words seemed to slowly boost Drez's much needed confidence.
"We…can use Trent as a trap of sorts if need be Zelkja…like…lead the prey to him for the kill..?"
