She nodded, prancing off back towards the herd. Nodding her greetings and then resting down in a cozy spot. |

Frosted snow lifted her head at the sound of steps and relaxed when she realized it was just blooming sun, then she returned to her grazing. |

Heading deeper into the forest, I sniffed the undergrowth, stepping over animal droppings. Everything looked normal, peaceful even, but something felt wrong, something was wrong. |

Returning from a small herb gathering escapade, the female pranced back into camp, her jaws full and antlers covered in plants. The sun beamed on her, making the medic's fur seem like it was made of stars. Yet, despite her gleeful appearance, Mint thought, no, knew something was off. No need to worry the rest, right? |

((Gatherer)) --- The breath of morning had come on tense, baited winds. Even the birdsong sheltered whispers of looming shadows for the attentive and willing ear. Morning's mist hadn't yet lifted before their chittering warning calls began to make a buzz of the overhead leaves. Not more than an hour's time into her usual morning venture for supplies, Sprout was stopped in her path, ears pricked to make sense of the scrambled twitter beginning to fill the still air. Warnings of the seasonal roving packs, making their annual return as the Coldmoon's snow gave way to fresh grasses. Food for the heard always beckoned food for the fang-toothed beasts that followed. The difficulties of the cold were gone. And with one relief would follow a new challenge in its place, as was the way of things. Surely she hadn't been the only one to cue in on the air's tension-- and so Sprout turned on her steps and returned home. Her pace took on a flighted run, tail pinned upright in alarm as she pushed into the clearing, eyes scanning the low grass for the others. |

She was quietly standing watching the herd nibbling on a clover or two every now and again. Her ears were pricked and she was ready for any danger that would dare come after her herd even if the danger was likely an entire pack of wolves or something worse.her gaze momentarily flicked to sprouting fern practically flying into the clearing then she relaxed once more. |

"SproutingFern, what's wrong?" I questioned, head raising in alarm as the Gatherer busted into the meadow, flanks slick with sweat. |

((Gatherer)) --- Fresh dewdrops were shaken from fur and velvet antlers with a loose shake, pace slowing now to a trot. Her head dipped in a formal respective acknowledgement as she passed the Secondary before rounding to face WhisperingTree. Good. The Stompers would be good to make known of the warnings first and foremost. She settled herself in front of him, lowering her haunches to sit before drawing the breath to speak. "The songbirds are worked up-- There is rumor of the packs' returning migrations from their cold-season dens. It was... difficult to discern how close they are. Word spreads faster through the air than land. Do the other guardians know?" |

Listening intently to her words, I snorted in alarm. "I must speak with BloomingSun," I grunted, turning to trod away. "For now, stay with the herd. Don't wander off alone." Trotting off, I headed over towards the Commander. "BloomingSun." |

She lifted her head slowly at the call, having a slight headache from traveling to speak with her sister upon the matter at hoof. "What may I help you with, WhisperingTree?" She bleated, tail flicking lightly as her body twitched from a fly landing on her. |
