Ooh, maybe! We can say the smaller island is close to a small underground/underwater entrance to the Hidden World. The Hidden World is big, bigger than just that whirlpool, so it can have small little entrances far from the main one! Sound good?? :]

That works perfectly! And twilight lives close to it a lot of the time to guard the entrance from- unwanted guests (humans)
