When I completed the breeding quest on my first day, my pack leader gave birth to two puppies, who are still in my pack. Today, I had a Melvin quest to do an enclave quest, so I decided to try it out by buying a cheap puppy from trades and turning it in. I wound up doing two enclave quests this way. The cheap puppies were only in my pack for the few seconds it took to navigate from trades to the enclave and turn in the quest, but now when I go to my den it shows that there are 3 / 45 puppies instead of 2 / 45 puppies. Did one of the enclave puppies get stuck in my pack in some way, or is the count of puppies actually like the count of the maximum number of puppies I have ever had at once, or something? 		Faiuwle

Sorry, I should also add that neither of the enclave puppies appear in the den at all. The only puppies visible there are the two puppies that my pack leader gave birth to. 		Faiuwle

This is a long-standing bug. Anytime that a new puppy comes into your pack, the number of pups "registered" in your pack will go up and stay. It will go back down to normal after your next rollover. Don't worry, the number of "registered" pups has no effect on your game at all. The only time it might is if you accidentally hit your pup limit, but the limit is so high, that it's hard to hit without noticing that you have a metric ton of pups. Where bugs go, this is a harmless one.
