Recently, I've been slowly but surely flushing out my high gen breeding wolves, for ones G1 up to roughly G3. Though, I am also beginning to thin even those down to just G1 & G2 high quality wolves. I've been having a ton of trouble deciding what to sell and what to keep as breeders and I need to recalibrate my aims with some advice. Not being able to decide has caused me to reach a 90 wolves pack, and I REALLY want to get it under control and get some direction before I just end up keeping every wolf and having an unmanageable pack size. 1. In 2 seperate litters this month I got 3 G3 realgars and 2 mojaves ~ [ Please see Desert-Possum's 3 kids for the 1xRealgar & 2xMojaves at G3 = link ] [ Please see Mitena's kids for the 2xRealgars at G3 = link ] Extremely lucky, I know! couldn't believe it my damn self! BUT I can't decide whether to keep to breed, R&C or sell them. Because I'm feeling like breeding them to get G4+ mojave/realgars would be fruitless aka no one would want them at that high of a gen, if I understand it all correctly. So do I R&C and just pray I can find them again? Or keep them to breed? Neither?! Pls help! I am lost in the sauce. 2. same question also but with these two ~ G3 T1 3 eye boi link G2 T* Penumbra link 3. And lastly, what the hell do I do with this Frontal Pie, with the above in mind, given that the mum is a breeding female FPie that has given me 1 G3+ FPie per litter, so what should I do with this girl and the Fpie's in the future ~ G3 Frontal Pie but only T1 link Thank you in advance for any advice given! I truly need it.... |

if you are in love with a wolf however, and don't want to risk the chase, I don't think there's any harm in keeping them. i've kept a few wolves that are G18+ just because I like them so much. But that's just a personal thing for me. For the lower gen T3s without any exceptional eyes or markings, I've had surprisngly okay luck raffling them off, for cheap items such as herbs or den material. usually I put them together in a lot of 5-10 T3s with a variety ofΒ prizes, but nothing worth more than 3 GC maximum. (I do somethin similar with muties)if although if my T3s are especially plain, (like 3 or less commonΒ marks) lately I've hust been enclaving or giving them away since I don't have the sitters. but that's obviously not necessary if you don't have a stupidly large pack and are trying to downsize like i am. Just my own opinion of course, I'm sure milage will vary. Good luck with your breeding and R&C projects! |

I do agree. Blossom is a keeper. But in honesty I didn't think of keeping her primarily for R&C breeding! Or any of the higher gen T3's I own, on that note. I actually... haven't done that yet with any of my breeding wolves. Perhaps now it's time to start doing that, since I have a well established flow. Damn, crazy, time flies by fast lol. Never thought I'd be able to even do that! I see, interesting what you say about the T3's but with lesser marks. It makes sense to me, and I have been applying that to like G5+ T2+'s with crappy marks or leathers. Also yeah, giveaways could be an option. My whole aim here is to get in control of my pack size as I keep roughly 1 pup in every litter and... it has snowballed into 90 adults lol. So all advice helps. I don't think I'm emotionally detached enough to do giveaways tbh. Giving away my babies for free... ahh I can't! Didn't think of raffling off low Gen wolves also. Usually I put them in a large selling bundle on TC but I've found they haven't been selling well [or at all] recently. Just presumed because they were like G4. Didn't think to raffle 'em off, since setting them up confuses the hell out of me. That's something new that I will definitely keep in mind, thank you friend! |

Raffles can be a bit of a pain in the butt sometimes, but once you get the hang of it I find them very useful. Definitely feel you on the space struggle though. I'm trying to get myself below 100, but it's very hard. I'm attached to my wolves, and since I don't have a gen cutoff it's pretty easy to snowball if I'm not careful haha. I don't really trust doing giveaways in chat unless I'm not very attached to them, since results can be very hit or miss. But if you find yourself a nice discord or Wolvden group on here you can trust, it's a nice way to find homes for wolves without worrying they're gonna immediately get yeeted. (Of course, then you have the problem of adopting all your friends' really cool wolves, so its a double edged sword haha) |

But I've been looking over raffles and things like decors and scraps are of interest to me, along with items to make the Caribou base, so I'm adding those as raffle tickets. My first successful raffle [made after all my vet friends advice, including the above] gave me 27 Gnawing Hoof remnants!! So... yeah. I'm really grateful for the advice. I'm changing my focus from selling wolves in bulk to seeing if I can raffle them. Apart from that first major success, mostly due to it being a batch of T3 wolves, I'll update the thread with how I do raffling off T1/2's in the next few weeks. So yeah. Thank you all. I have some hope for sticking with the game and my pack again! <3 |
