This is a game, not real life, games often have things that you cannot do in real life, and "flirting" doesnt mean you're in actual relationship with these wolves - so I think comparing a virtual wolf to a real toxic relationship is a bit too far. With this kind of logic the very dating feature is a bad influence because you can date like 20 wolves at the same time - that is something considered to be very rude and looked down upon as cheating, to date so many people at once, if you port that to your real life looking at it in a game. Drawing a line between what's real and what's virtual is important, not everything you see on a game is meant to be ported into your real life just because you get to do it in a game. Incest is a BAD bad in real life, clearly no better than toxic relationships, arguably even worse - yet here on Wolvden you can breed your wolves to their offspring/parents/siblings without any limits except your own playstyle. Having that choice and not having severe consequences for inbreeding doesnt mean Wolvden justifies or casualises incest in real life. It just means this is a GAME, things from which arent meant to be inspirations for your real life. "Wolvden should spread safe information" is a really strange argument on a 16+ game. Wolvden is a game with 16+ age limit, and it should spread the kind of information according to Mature level game. 16 is an age at which you, user, is already assumed to have your world understandings already formed and you yourself should be the one responsible for reasonably drawing a line between real and virtual. Wolvden is not in any way intended to be educational material for people to learn about the life from; just because its a wolf sim featuring animals, does not mean its a kid game, the theme of "animals" is not reserved exclusively for children materials. Even more basic gaming interactions could be harmful if you take them THAT close to heart to actually do them in real life or have them affect your real life somehow. In fact, most things in most 16+ games would be harmful if you did them in real life. Fallout games are rated Mature for 17+ and you can cannibalise people and sell people into slavery in them - it is not a good idea to do that in real life, example from one game, there can be hundreds. Mature rating is for Mature themes, and at that age you're expected to not be influenced by them as a life learning material. Educational material for people to base their life learning on goes in 4+ age limit! If you see a "massive amount of minors" who are under 16 age, you need to report them for the moderators to take the appropriate action. Wolvden rules set the age brink of 16 years and if you see any players obviously under that age, you need to alert the moderators of these instances immediately! |

Fictional things are fictional and if you do not want to interact with her as a dateable npc then don't. Also, this whole thing is based on our own lead to be some nice happy wolf. What if my lead is also a bad person and an asshole, hm? |

Consider:
(If anything, there is a compelling argument to be made that Wolvden is, in some respects, a horror game.) It's also completely reasonable to expect that, by 16, players will have engaged with more challenging texts, and can be trusted to approach fictional situations with critical thinking. It's typical for schools to have Shakespeare as required reading when kids are much younger than 16, and Shakespeare is full of wildly toxic relationships. But, again- this is a game where wolf testicles are a consumable item. The item has an image. This is not a child-friendly game. |

I get it, though, abusive relationship--it's toxic, yeah, but I feel like it isn't fair. We have the Faelcu in it too, so that would be taking two wolf decors only because of their personality. It doesn't entirely make sense to me to have, basically, every other wolf in the event but Saligia and the Faelcu. |

As others who have also opposed stated, this is a game. It's fiction. I also wish to add that it frankly is no one else's business in what they engage in when it comes to fiction, least of all folks who have not experienced the kind of trauma you are attempting to shield here. We all heal differently and fiction is actually one of the ways survivors heal; taking away that choice is taking away a path of healing. I'm not attempting to be rude, but I am frankly tired of folks who are not survivors telling others who are how they're supposed to heal and experience survivorship. I don't think you mean it to come across this way, of course. It just comes across like you're trying to baby us, and that I cannot stand at all. Some won't be alright with it, some will prefer her to be available. Let us survivors make this choice on our own, not being forced to take whatever choice a stranger has decided is 'best' for all of us. |
