- Kaufolac accidentally injures one of Uruhouou’s daughters in a
play-fight. Uruhouou scolds him, and his punishment is to help clean out
the camp for two weeks.
- Ruhad is kicked by a deer she attempts to bring down, though escapes without being badly injured.
- The Blue Hunt and Icemelt Hunt work together to try and
kill several elk in a herd. They manage to bring down an older doe and a
wounded bull, although in the stampede Hwemalrusu and Aulosac are both
slightly bruised.

- Irhakrou’s litter is weaned.
- Hryhoolou’s litter is weaned. She takes one of the pups,
Bramble, to the border of the Cyclone Pack, where Tundra Runner takes
him to be raised as one of their own and act as a link between them and
the Pines.
- Uruhouou and Argamiwou's litters are weaned and healthy,
allowing the Pines to begin their journey to their new home in the
swamp.
- During the journey, Rulahou temporarily becomes a scout, so that she can help Kaufolac and Oroulepac find good places to rest.
- Siherral's litter reaches their first year of age. Two
disperse, while the third pup, Hucanighrac, becomes a chaser of the
Icemelt Hunt.
- Oscutuhur is promoted to the Pines' first oolaursa, and due
to her age retires from actively hunting. Siherral is chosen to succeed
her as the Icemelt Hunt's leader.
- While resting overnight close to the edge of the northern
forest, the Pines' temporary camp is attacked. Their pups are sleeping
in some hastily reinforced shrubbery, and someone breaks in, leaving no
trace behind except three missing pups and scents half-lost in the rain.
The scouts and stalkers try to follow the trails as best they can, to
no avail. As the three pups were all of Uruhouou's litter, it is
strongly suspected that their father Badger came to steal them.

- The Pines arrive in the swamp and make a temporary camp, preparing to go out in search of a more permanent home.
- A day later, Siherral and Sastilanor disappear; they later
return with a self-proclaimed welcoming party from a pack calling itself
the Children of the Sky. The head of the patrol attempts to convince
Hryhoolou to join the Children. Unnerved by the strangers and offended
by the insistence that they give up their own power, the Pines reject
their offer, with Hryhoolou suggesting that they instead live peacefully
alongside each other. Instead the Children leave, with their patrol
leader promising that the Pines will join them one way or another.
- Siherral and Sastilanor remain in the Pines’ camp. They are
put under guard while the Pines decide how to respond. Everyone begins
preparing and hunkering down as best they can, anticipating an attack
sooner than later.
- That night, the Children attack the Pines’ camp. A fierce
battle ensues, culminating in Hryhoolou killing the Children’s two
alphas. The Pines are battered and wounded, but everyone on their side
lives.
- The next day, the Pines take over the Children’s current
camp, driving out the few stragglers with little issue. One of them,
Twisting Roots, asks to join; he claims that he didn’t care for the ways
of the Children, and would rather not try to survive alone. Hryhoolou
accepts him as a hunter.
- Now that the Pines are fairly settled, Oroulepac takes
leave to go in search of Uruhouou’s stolen pups. Oscutuhur goes with him
to the edge of the Pines’ new territory, intending to go out in search
of a mate. Oroulepac continues towards the taiga where Badger’s pack
lives.
- Oscutuhur’s litter reaches their first year of age. Three
pups disperse from the pack. while the fourth, Oscunau, joins Twisting
Roots in hunting.
- A young pup, who is Kaufolac’s paternal half-niece, is brought into the pack. She is given the name Sequoia Lit by Sunlight.
- Houwac was injured in the battle protecting the Pines’ herb
supply, and over the next few weeks his wound becomes badly infected.
In his age, he cannot shake off the infection as easily, and despite
Nisemolso’s efforts it does not respond to treatment. He finally passes
away close to the end of summer.

RANK CHANGES: Rulahou temporarily becomes a
scout. Oscutuhur retires from the Icemelt Hunt to become an oolaursa.
Siherral succeeds Oscutuhur as the Icemelt Hunt’s leader and stalker.
Hucanighrac joins the Icemelt Hunt as a chaser. Twisting Roots and
Oscunau become a two-wolf hunting party.
LOSSES: Hryhoolou's son Bramble is given to the
Cyclone Pack. Five yearlings disperse. Uruhouou’s pups Chirwetoro,
Hiwurwi, and Hawetsa go missing in the night, with strong signs that
they were stolen by their father Badger. Oroulepac leaves to search for
Uruhouou’s missing pups, and does not return. Houwac dies of a badly
infected wound.
OTHER: The Pines journey to a new home in the
swamplands. They battle with Siherral and Sastilanor’s natal pack, the
Children of the Sky, when the Children attempt to forcefully recruit
them. Hryhoolou wins the battle by killing both of their alphas.
