year eight: summer
moon of sunlit grasses
- Abeishou, her littermate, and Runuslari all reach their first year of age. Abeishou's sister disperses, but Abeishou and Runuslari remain; Runuslari becomes an acolyte, while Abeishou joins the denminders.
- Hucanighrac becomes sick after eating a bad rabbit.
- Tenokit, Holursa, and Kuniloha fall ill again.
- Louheuro recovers from his sickness, as does one of Sinolsu's pups.
- A pup is bitten by a stray snake in the middle of the night. Luckily, the wound is not deep and the snake is not venomous.
- Sequoia Lit by Sunlight catches influenza.
- Hucanighrac recovers from her food poisoning.
- Gakasar, Kuniloha, and Tenokit's illness begins to improve.
- A litter is born to Eradeiro and Tenokit.
- Rulahou has her last litter of pups. They are unusually weak, likely a result of her own sickness; the strongest is a silvery pup who she names Nihlulah.
- Mokhoni's paw is bitten by a rabbit. Fortunately, the bite looks worse than it is and soon heals without issue.
- Eradeiro and Tenokit's older son, Ocurhus, reaches his first year of age. He chooses to remain within the pack.
- Hicursei becomes pregnant with her final litter.

- Holursa and Sihrain'kau's daughter, Deyin'krat, reaches her first year of age. She remains within the Pines, joining the Blue Hunt.
- Rulahou's distemper begins to spread, with Eradeiro catching it.
- A pup dies of influenza.
- Holursa and Sequoia Lit by Sunlight recover.
- Haklanor and Ocurhus join the Moonlit Hunt as chasers. Tenokit also switches from the Blue Hunt to a chaser of the Moonlit Hunt, so that he can hunt with his son.
- Rogaku becomes a stalker.
- Red Beetle takes Tenokit's place as a chaser of the Blue Hunt.
- Ruhad retires from active hunting, and is replaced by Oscuhas as the Icemelt Hunt's finisher.
- Sintetus is woken by a loud yelp when one of the pups is bitten by a fly. The bite looks painful, but stops bleeding quickly.
- Leir-barru develops tapeworms after eating some bad meat.
- Eradeiro recovers from distemper.
moon of raging storms
- Two pups are lost in a bout of heavy rain. Search patrols turn up no sign or scent of either pup.
- With the birth of her litter, Hicursei retires from actively hunting.
- Sihrain'kau moves to the Blue Hunt as a stalker, and as the most experienced hunter of them, she is made their leader. Deyin'krat settles as the Blue Hunt's finisher.
- Urwalou develops mange.

Red Beetle replaces Tenokit as a Blue Hunt chaser. Ruhad retires from active hunting, and Oscuhas replaces her as the finisher of the Icemelt Hunt. Hicursei retires from active hunting. Sihrain'kau replaces her as the leader of the Blue Hunt, also becoming their stalker. Deyin'krat becomes the finisher of the Blue Hunt.
LOSSES: Two pups are lost.
OTHER: The plague of influenza comes to an end.

year eight: autumn
moon of the chilled air
- Attempting to catch a boar with the help of her teammates, Deyin'krat instead is badly injured along her flank. The wound soon becomes infected.
- During a sudden thunderstorm, some pups are scared away from camp by the loud noises. Most are recovered, but one cannot be found, and is presumed dead.
- After a long struggle against her illness, Rulahou finally succumbs to distemper. The Pines grieve deeply for the loss of the first wolf born among them.
- Sintetus succeeds Rulahou as the lead denminder.
- Five pups reach their sixth moons and become trainees. Urwain'ghrac's surviving daughter Ravens Watching is among them; although still weak and often sickly, she shows great dedication to her training.
- The infection of Deyin'krat's wound is treated, and she begins recovering.
- Oscunau and Hucanighrac are promoted to oolaursar.

- Leir-barru recovers from her tapeworms.
- Urwain'ghrac catches ticks after a fight with some coyotes.
moon of wandering souls
- Huckleberry and Urwalou's respective litters begin their training.
- One of the new trainees is attacked and killed by an alligator.
- Urwalou's mange is treated.
- Oscunau's litter begins training.
- Sequoia Lit by Sunlight briefly shows signs of influenza, but due to Nisemolso and Suhad's swift action, any sickness is soon quashed.
- Oscunau and Ruhad's litters begin their training.

moon of falling snow
- Leir-barru becomes sick, but soon recovers.
- Urwain'ghrac's ticks are finally treated.
- While out scouting, Eradeiro and Burning Blue discover a mostly-intact bison carcass. They manage to carry a fair portion of it home to the Pines.
- Haklanor catches influenza.
- Two litters of pups reach their sixth moon of age and begin training.
- After eating part of a deer he found half-rotted in the territory, Sintetus develops severe food poisoning.

- Sihrain'kau catches influenza.
- Out playing by the river, two pups fall in. A nearby trainee attempts to save them, but falls in as well, and the three are swept away. Subsequent search patrols find no sign of them.
- Knowing that she hails from the swamplands, Burning Blue travels far north to find a sire for her first litter. Somewhere in the mountains she meets a strange she-wolf, and Blue returns to the Pines expecting pups.
- Two trainees leave to join another pack.
- Nisemolso becomes pregnant with her final litter.
- Influenza spreads to Huckleberry and Oscuhas, but they quickly recover from their sickness.
- Sintetus recovers from his bout of food poisoning.
- A trainee is killed by a cougar.
moon of lightening skies
- Tohumok'yol briefly comes down with influenza, although under Nisemolso and Suhad's care she recovers mere days later. Haklanor also recovers from his own sickness.
- Sinolsu becomes pregnant with Mokhoni's litter.
- Hucanighrac becomes pregnant with Sintetus' litter. Both look forward to the arrival of their pups, knowing that these will likely be their last.
- Nisemolso has a brief bout of ear mites.
- Reaching their sixth moon of age, Hicursei's youngest pups begin their training.
- Sinolsu eats a rabbit left out in the sun and is off with food poisoning for a day, though improves quickly from there and is soon back to her duties.
- Sihrain'kau recovers from her sickness.
