"Father, what do you mean?! We need to tell the clan, we need to let them know!" NettleHaze yelled, though his words fell on deaf ears. "I am not insane, NettleHaze, you know how detrimental that could be. I expect you to know better." SableStar snapped back, tail thrashing as he tried to hold down his anger. "We can change it! It can be fixed, father! Just because it can be broken doesn't mean it has to-" NettleHaze was cut off. "ENOUGH. I have heard enough from you. This is MY choice, I need to protect this clan, I can't let us be destroyed again. You understand, I expect you to, after all you are my son." The leader growled. Through teary eyes, NettleHaze spoke, "No, SableStar, I am clearly just another pawn in your sick little game of life." The tomcat ran back to camp, holding back a sob. SableStar stood there, and stared at what he'd done. |

"Thank you, now I have work to do. Your taking all my free time." She joked and gave him a smile before she pushed herself to her paws and heading to her den. Iceflower The pale grey warrior raised her head as she saw the entrance to the camp tremble and then Nettlehaze's form bursting through with teary eyes. What did Sablestar do now? she asked herself in exasperation. She had watched the two leave camp urgently or rather Sablestar dragging Nettlehaze out of camp and now wondered what Sablestar could have said to make Nettlehaze so upset. She quickly jumped to her paws and trotted quickly of to Nettlehaze, concerned for her nephew. "Hey Nettlehaze, what's wrong?" She asked softly, coming up to him. |

"It's nothing IceFlower-" he paused, then furrowed his brows, "actually no, it's not nothing, it's not MY job to keep his secrets for him." He sniffles, wiping his eyes and nose. He faces IceFlower, "I went for a walk, and I found a wildclan patrol." |

Knowing who the him was she didn't ask. Though the second part was news to her. "Wildclan? Their really that close? All this time?" She asked though more to herself than to him. She stared into space for a moment and anger bubbled under her skin as she thought of the other clans. Pushing that away, her eyes focused on her nephew again. "Let me guess, you told Sablestar and he told you to keep it a secret. You didn't want to and then he said something hurtful?" She guessed. |

"Yeah. Well- maybe I kinda overreacted… he told me he expected me to understand since I'm his son. And- I said I was just another pawn in his life." He mewed, ashamed. "I didn't mean to, I was just so… Angry at him. I don't want to be mean, I just can't help it when I see him." He averted his gaze. |

Being his son does not mean that you should know everything. But he does love you, you know. It might not feel like it, but he does. More than you know." |
