"I'm not sure how to directly answer that. Though love is sometimes expressed in ways we may not immediately recognize and understanding it could be difficult, especially when it feels absent. But trust me, it already exists. It has all your life. Love can be quiet but powerful all you have to do is recognize it. Does that make sense?" She asked, not really knowing how to answer his question but trying the best she could. She was angry with Sablestar for making his son doubt being loved and wanted to storm out into the forest and drag him back to camp by the ears. |

"He just- he wants me to be perfect, to fit the puzzle, to be what he wants me to be. He doesn't understand that- when you're perfect, you're different. And to him.. being different isn't being perfect. It's so unfair, so unfair he lets me feel this way." She immediately rushed forward and pushed her muzzle into his fur, tears pricking at her own eyes for the young cat. Again anger burned in her chest and only burned hotter as he kept talking. "Don't try anymore Nettle." She started, using the nickname she had called him since he was a kit. "If he doesn't see the splendid cat you are then that is his fault and his alone. He is losing a precious gift all because he can't see you. I know you want him to accept you but what's the point of trying so hard if nothing will change. If he cant recognize what he has right now then he's not worth your energy or your time. I know it's harsh, but it's the truth. You are enough for me and for the clan, you do not have to prove anything. Release the burden of expectations, perfection is not and should never be expected. Being you is the goal and you've reached it. Maybe once he realizes this he will finally and truly see you. You are precious to me and I hate to see you like this, just remember that you are enough, keep being you. That's all I'm asking, don't let anyone make you feel like your anything less than you are, because you're perfect, wanted and loved by me and the clan." She whispered fiercly in his ear, trying to make him feel the force of her love for him and the deep truth in her words. |

He fell into her, tears stinging his eyes and running down his face. He held on tight to this feeling, to these emotions, he didn't want to feel those emotions and he hoped he'd never feel them again, but he wanted to feel. "I love you, auntie. More than my heart can beat." His head lay nuzzled against her neck and shoulder, trying to hold onto whatever was left, "I can only pray that one day, just one day, will I turn out to be a cat like you." |

"There you go, try to stay off your paw today." Oceandawn told Iceflower as she finished dressing her wounded paw pad. Iceflower "Will do. Thank you." She meowed gratefully and slightly wincing at the sting. She had stepped on a couple thorns while she was hunting and they stung pretty bad. She tested her paw on the ground and made a face before turning and limping out of the den, her left paw raised off the ground. |

He finally returned to camp. Calmed down and far less agitated, he slunk towards the leader rock, he didn't think that there was anything meeting worthy, so he just sat there. |
