Saege's jaw tightened slightly, remembering the one mission she had to do, that caused her to quit her job. "Not exactly." She paused again, "I'd never really belonged to one place." She picked up another piece of meat, throwing it slightly closer to them, trying to coax the feline to get closer and more comfortable with them.

Ember eyes the meat then gave the human a suspicious look darting forward and snatching the meat before darting back to eat it,yet again practically inhaling it

Innis sighed. Ok, noted. She chuckled slightly when the catamounts had engulfed the strip of meat. "SHe must be hungry." She mumbled out loud, enjoying the warmth from the fire.

(I just refer to it as a feline, works wonders-- Also, I need to make a ref for Saege. Or find one similar to her physical description)

Saege nodded, "Do you think she'd prefer something other than meat..?" Still trying to make small talk to not make the silence awkward. Her gaze was still on Innis, mostly, just watching Ember from out of the corner of her eye. She didn't seem to be really showing any inner thoughts about what she thought about Innis, as she'd learned how to control her expressions a while back.

Saege snorted softly at the joke, nodding. "I could've offered a larger variety of meat if it wasn't nearin' winter.. A lot of the animals seem to grow smarter around this time and avoid traps set up to catch 'em.." A slight, very slight, southern-ish accent popped out as Saege was talking. She shifted to a little more of a comfortable position.

"How do you want to do tonight..? I'm assuming you're going to be staying with me for a good bit, until your arm heals, at least. I can sit guard while you sleep?" She insinuated that she wasn't going to be sleeping, not like she looked like she ever got more than an hour of sleep each night either way.
