lately, as i've tried to work at leveling my main wolf up, i've run into one major frustration: the setbacks of losing a fight. i know many people will say that its realistic to not gain anything from losing a battle, however when you're within 1hp of winning a battle and you still lose (after burning through your whole full health bar), well......... Its painful, thats for sure. then you're faced with the aftermath of either: A. using tons of healing items to get back up to speed and NOT die again (and its very easy to run out of heals when battle rng is not in your favor) B. spend sometimes hours trying for random events that boost your health again (with the possibility of the same exact useless death happening immediately after) i've come to absolutely dread the leveling grind because of how many times i feel like i wasted time and energy fighting and losing battles for 0 gain. i would like to suggest that losing a battle can still award a fraction of EXP, possibly scaled by how much health you lost in the fight. Literally anything would feel better than having to stare at the useless "defeated" screen, with all your health zapped. there could even be rare opportunities to gain a stat point in your weakest stat or something! flavor text for these gains could be along the lines of: "What were you thinking in this fight? Well, at least you've learned from your mistakes. Hopefully." thanks for reading! |

Support! Even if it's as marginal as 10-50 exp. or so. :3 Even with losing, you still battled! |

Support! I already wondered if I should give up on leveling my main guy. I usually only can battle once a day because HP keep runs out -_- It would be nice to get some EXP out of that. |

Yes! (I first misread this as losing EXP and I was like "omg whaaaat"). I have also noticed the severe penalties for losing and it's kinda sad. I'd suggest a calculation that takes account of 3 factors:
Maybe with a maximum yield of 30% of the "full total" (what you could've got if you'd won) |

Support! I would actually love this idea, and it makes sense! However, I feel like this should only apply if you've lost at least 10 points of HP or you were defeated with 0 hp instead of just running. Otherwise people could just enter > retreat battles constantly to like,, farm exp? @Kiwi's ideas are all good, so I agree with those! c: Although I feel it would be most fair if it only happened when you got down to 0 HP instead of just when you retreated after losing just some health. But that's just my opinion lol. <3 |

I definently support this. Considering how slow and painful it is to get that health back without sacrificing huge amounts of potential SC you should definently get some exp back. |
