Minnowtail "Hello miss??" Minnowtail's tail thumped the nursery floor in amusement. How formal! Whose little kit was this, that had ended up in the Dark Forest and was so polite? Perhaps StarClan had made a mistake. "I'm Minnowtail," the queen introduced herself, stretching up and using her larger, adult paws to scour the den where kits couldn't reach, "Here, let me get the tall stuff at least. I helped keep the nursery in my old den nice and cozy when I was alive." |

"Thank you, miss" The she-kit continued removing anything sharp from the walls, until she spotted a death berry. "Oooh~" The kit began playing with it like a moss ball, her black tail flicking from one side to another. Now it was clear that the berries in her pelt were death berries and nightshade berries. |

Thistlepaw was padding through the trees of the dark forest, his eyes glittering; his gaze unwavering and cold as he halted by a reddish-colored stream. |

Minnowtail had just cleared off some thorns and added them to Cursedkits pile. It was only then that she paused and took in the nightshade berries around the den. She was very aware of how the Dark Forest worked, how aspects of life clung to bodies as a physical curse in the afterlife. Her muzzle opened and closed wordlessly until she decided on, Is this why you're here? The berries?"Minnowtail gestured to the death berry in her tiny playful paws. She hoped it was a general enough question to understand why this little one would be here without being too insensitive. |

"Yes, miss" The little she-kit sat down, the berry at her paws. "If you would like my story, I would be happy to share!" The kit meowed, seemingly happy to have the opportunity to say her story. --ThornPaw-- The medicine cat apprentice was wandering the swampy area for any herbs that could be used. They ended up falling into a particularly muddy area, and began sinking. Grabbing an overhanging root, the apprentice was able to stay out of the mud. They weren't dead yet, but the fear was growing, and with that, the wilted leaves on their branches also began to grow. |

Minnowtail fought the urge to bat the poisonous berries away from the kit. Instead, she tucked a few strays into the pile of debris with anxious paws. "Yes, please. I would very much love to know how a young one like yourself wound up here." This kit was too young to be an apprentice- She had not even experienced all the seasons in life. Her death had to be exceedingly tragic. "Please call me Minnowtail," She added after a short pause, "I want to know you. Could you start with your name?" |

"I'm Moonkit, though everyone here calls me Cursedkit" She informed the queen, before starting on her story. "I hated any cat who was arrogant, nosy, or just a bully. Any cat who was young enough to not know nightshade berries, or too confident in themselves, and would take the challenge of eating one, I would tell them to eat one. " |
