I used a lucky foot and still missed all my attacks,,, what's the point of the item, then? Even if they refuse to fix RNG (which is unreasonable) in other aspects of the game, at least fix the ITEMS relating to RNG. |

I hate battling in this game. I hate it, I hate it, I hate it. Plain and simple. Lucky feet does nothing, I literally bleed the second turn I used it and it happened more than once. I sometimes wonder why I even keep playing, because everything seems so unsatysfying, the game punishes me for making progress. |

I haven't been a part of the community for long, but I very much agree. When I joined (like, last week, haha), I was pretty excited to see that there was combat and leveling— I adore that kind of stuff in games. Coliseums, battles, a little bit of strategy, and a pinch of luck— it keeps me around these kind of sites, and it feels very rewarding to do when you finally get that rare drop you've been grinding for. I play and enjoy D&D, so I'm no stranger to RNG and luck— but it became very hard to enjoy with this system... Battling items that are already rare are burned through far too quickly with almost no reward to actually using them. Especially at lower levels, where I believe we can't get trophies until level 10? I've only ever received at the least a little bit of SC, and the most— a healing salve— from enemies. Very rarely. Both of which I can find randomly, and yet more frequently, through Explore with much less effort and frustration. So at the moment, it feels like it's actually not worth using any battling items (or battling) as a newer player until I reach a level that has the slightest chance of a payoff to it. Which, is fine— as a new player, I don't expect to trip head first into the rarest drops from enemies— but I do think I could count the drops I've gotten from enemies on one hand after they leave me on 3 HP on a narrow victory. And with the reliance on a lucky RNG roll, even when using Lucky Foot But! I only just joined, so that's my first impression of the system. I don't have a lot of two cents yet other than some meh experiences, but I would definitely love to see this system be tweaked more for the player's enjoyment; especially a system a little more leaning into the stats that we're building. I'm completely down for investing in battle, strategy, and stats— just not for this battle system as it is right now. I do hope that they will upgrade it eventually. ^^; |

I've been meaning to sit down and read through this since the suggestion first came out, I finally had the time and attention to do so tonight and it's a wonderful read. You've put words to some of the problems I've had, both here and on Lioden, which result in decreased usage (here) or nearly abandoning it altogether (lioden). I don't expect this to be a problem which is resolved overnight, given how much the game relies on RNG I think even simple modifications would require a pretty significant overhaul, but you've put forth a lot of good ideas here and I hope they're seriously considered! |

FULL SUPPORT! not to mention how hard it is to complete battle-related quests because of the rng. like, not only is it soooo damn difficult to FIND the beast to slay, you can get completely screwed over on that first turn! |

Yeah, RNG gods hate me now Keep getting my tail handed to me by the lowest of levels. For sure Not fun to fight anymore if it ever was and i haven't seen much of any rewards. I'm trying to at least get up to Lv 10 or so but this is annoying on so many levels. Support times Infinity |

Really hoping they sort this at some point soon. The addition of foxes has brought to light how terrible the RNG really is. For a ‘common, easy’ enemy (as per the news post) they are neither common nor easy. They pop up for me maybe once every two full health bars? And when they do, even if they’re many levels below, they hit like absolute tanks and wound within a couple of turns, whilst never taking a hit themselves. It’s infuriating, and the trophies they drop are as rare as rocking horse turd. Please, please do something about this RNG. |
