What is my art worth? (need help with pricing!)

What is my art worth? (need help with pricing!)

Hello!

So I'm not exactly the best at pricing things, so I would appreciate some feedback on the issue. I know that the WD market can be super rough, so I don't really expect to become rich with art making (though some extra GC would be nice indeed).

Anyway, to the examples! Sadly, I don't have that many fullbody examples atm nor… much of anything but symmetrical headshots, lol. Speaking of, I'm most likely going to start offering those kinds of headshots to start with, so I would be especially keen to hear how much they would fare, currency vice (one symmetrical headshot + shading can take me about 1-1½ hours give or take depending on the complexity).

The one below has an animated version with falling snow, but idk how to post videos.

This one below is one I'm considering using as a base for a YWH/YCH

As you can see, my style can be a bit... sometimes there and other times there, though it still has managed to stay relatively consistent (for now...).

If you have any questions or need additional info, feel free to ask!

tbh a good starting price is probs 10-12 gc for a headshot!!

I see!

I'll try to balance the starting point around that amount, then.

Do you think, if by some miracle my scribbles gain an audience, the style has potential to be raised in the future, or should I stick with the whatever I put as the price point initially? I'm not entirely sure how much demand affects prices here on WD (at least when it comes to art, which is highly more subjective than the trading center lol).

I would definitely pay a LOT for something like this, your style is very sleek and simple while still being stylized and i think a lot of people on site like that kind of thing.

I think to start and kind of make a name for yourself, headshots would be around 10-15 gc, fullbodies/ being around 25-30ish and then once you've established how people think/how much are they willing to pay you could adjust/raise prices from there!

Ahhh, thank you so much (for compliments and tips, both) !! ; u ;

I think I'll put the YCH headshot for 10 GC while the unshaded/lightly shaded "regular" symmetrical headshots will start from 15 GC and fully shaded/rendered from 20 GC (really hoping that sounds fair, lol) and go from there. If they end up not selling that well, I'll just drop the prices slightly until they do and then adjust them if the demand grows etc. Though, I think I'll try to find the right balance for the headshots first, before venturing to price full bodies/half-bodies.

Thank you two for your help, it has been seriously helpful for me! Also, if you find anything wrong with my above plans (e.g., unfair pricing), please let me know and I'll try to reconsider.
