Shark hesitates but moves to lean against Raven, as if searching for comfort. James smiles at the sight, happy to have Shark finally speaking up. He turns to his wolf form, moving to curl around Shark, who just lets him. "I gotta be mean" Shark whispers
Raven shook her head as she spoke "no you don't bud, it's as easy as changing the usual path you walk to my house" she replied calmly, her hand slightly moved to let his head, very lightly. "Your not being mean now, are you?"
James nods, agreeing with Raven. "She's right." Shark huffs but silently hesitating agreeing. "No..?" He looks at Raven finally, ears drooping to the side of his head
"See, it's that easy" Raven smirked looking like she had just learned and then taught some rocket science, even though she wasn't even mildly interested in that, hilariously enough.
Shark huffs. "But people don't like me." His ears perk up. James pauses, standing up and moving as if to leave. He wanted to go find Brutus, he would help Shark no doubt
"yes they do, you just gotta show em their allowed to like you" she replied, then shifted slightly in thought. "take.. ah, take Lunaris for example, she was just as snappy as you when she had the ability to be, now shes mostly become a goofy bird, ok maybe a little grumpy- bad example, plenty of others start mean, just nature, you just need to learn to not be mean- does that make, any sense?"
"ohhhhhh k, how about we just try being nice? like how you are with Brutus? perhaps actually.. saying hi to silver? and not scowling at her like a moldy bone?" she asked, her tone was joking, but her expression was serious, if he said no, she supposed she could just, ease him into it.
Shark looks over at Silver, feeling bad yet a little angry. "Why should I? She's probably the reason why we aren't with our mum and dad." He looks back at Raven. "And Brutus is different."
James finally reaches the den of the two foxes, poking his head in and just grabbing Brutus. Brutus squeaks in panic before calming down when he realises it's James. James looks at Rayne before leaving, letting her either follow or stay, and she stays there, knowing Brutus was in good hands.. or rather paws.
"oh? but you don't know for sure huh? what if.. ice had been the reason? or you? or hell, even who ever your father is? you gonna blame em all? or should they blame you?" she replied with an eyebrow raise. She doubted it was silver, she was pretty sure the mother probably had abandoned them because she couldn't care for them, whether because she had been sick or dying, or because it was just hard to hunt, didnt matter.
