"Great!" Without warning she whipped around and shot through the entrance and into the forest. Her pace didn't slow until she was nearing the river, so she wouldn't scare the prey off. |

her eyes widened slightly with amusement before she followed after her thought not as fast mostly because she was listening for prey or threats as she always did, specifically for foxes. |

Her pawsteps slowed and became completely silent as she padded to the river. The sound of water on rocks soothed Nightshade and she let out a soft sigh and gave Skywing a nod before she went to sit on the bank, making sure her shadow was behind her before staring into the water for any flash of fish. |

Waiting patiently for Finchpaw to return, I stood, ears twitching at the twittering of a songbird. Stalking in the direction, I made sure to keep the Meadow in my view, pausing every few heartbeats to listen, the bird growing louder with each pawstep. |

The she-cat scratched dirt over the vole, lifting her nose again. Bird. She trotted towards it, crouching as she neared. |

Dropping into a crouch, I hid behind a curtain on ferns, waiting until the songbird fluttered down to the ground. Stalking forward, paw steps silent, I leapt, aiming right for the bird. |

She bunched her hindquarters, so focused on the prey that she forgot to scent for danger. She narrowed her eyes, pouring power into her back legs, pouncing to where the bird sat. |
