Conclusion First: Hunting EXP is most depended on biome, prey size and wolf level. If you think otherwise, I'm glad to discuss it with ya.
①Biome
Many of you might have already seen a map which marks the difficulty type of all biomes.
"
Two far north and two far south biomes are listed as Challenging.

However accroding to my experience, they should be divided into two sets, Glacier/Rainforest and Tundra/Swamp.

There's an obvious reason: their hunting EXP gain differs. Hunting in Gl/Ra grants your wolf more EXP than Tu/S.

Upon these goes my biome level list.

L1: Mountains, Grasslands, Deciduous Forest
L2: Coniferous Forest, Riparian Woodlands, Prairie
L3: Taiga, Desert
L4: Tundra, Swamp
L5: Glacier, Rainforest

②Prey Size & Wolf Level
These two are simple. The bigger prey trail your wolf scent/the higher level your wolf is, the more EXP your wolves gain. 		Narlord
