Interesting the modbox couldn't tell me even though it's confirmed there |

I've tested it since then, had a couple of level ups and it does work indeed that way, always one of the 2 highest stats got the biggest boost and out of these two it randomly picks which one will get more. If there's more stats on the same value (like 1 on 40, 2 on 38 and the rest on 36 for the sake of an example), it just randomly picks between the ones on 38 and "decides" which one will be the superior one. So it really doesn't matter what you pick as a profession, unless it's a really minor difference, you won't be able to overwrite it. So, breeding for the right stats for a profession makes a lot of sense! |

Ok, thanks for linking that. I do wonder then if the favored stat can change if you were to get random stats that made another stat higher than the previously higher stats |

I changed that info in the guide and added some other info |

I assume it can, but the difference between the stats would have to be 1-2, as with each level up, the distance between the regular and favored stat will be bigger and bigger |

Right, the highest I've seen was a plus +15 on both favored stats Edit, which was double of the regular stats |

Good example is my newest addition to the pack, Jamie:
Strength 47 - 48 Speed 46 - 46 Agility 44 - 45 Wisdom 48 - 51 Smarts 49 - 54 Compared starting stats to current stats after just a two easiest level ups, there's no way I would be able to catch up at this point, not with how quick will he level up vs the random stat gain. MAY be able to change it by hunting in the starter biomes at a higher levels, with how slowly wolves 12+ lvl go up, but the wolf would be very old before that would hypothetically happen |

That depends on what biome you live in. This guide is based off the old hunting system, which means in glacier and rainforest you should be able to reach those higher levels much sooner now, or rather level up in those high levels much sooner now. I think it only took a few days using all 10 hunts to get from level 15 to 16 on few successful critter hunts, most failed critter and small hunts |

Yeah, but in order to catch up with not favored stat, you need to get as many of the desired stat in exchange of the least amount of exp, as with each level up, the favored stat you're trying to replace will get a boost |

So now, you likely wouldn't be able to gain enough random stats to change your highest stats |
