I was thinking about maybe investing a small amount into an inbred or otherwise undesirable TIII female and breeding her with long-lined or also inbred TIII studs and then raising and chasing any TIII pups resulting from that. Has anyone done that before? is it worth it? is there anything I should consider if I do it?

eli- I think that's an awesome and generous idea! :D I say pick a favorite base of yours and go from there, or at least that's what I'd do. I'd love to breed some Mojave wolves to chase someday 💛

I also hate to bother, but can anyone take two 11.5 month old raise and chase pups today? They can be chased anytime you want after rollover- I just very much miscounted how many slots I had open and their grow up date caught up to me!

Edit- or two people that can take one each! Sorry, I should have mentioned that 💛

I've got 3 that age up on R/O if anyone can take some. The wolves in question:

Male obsidian (T2) with 4 markings

Male willow (T2) with 4 markings - including doubloon merle and tuff unders

Female howlite (T1) with 5 markings

Can people take some 11 and 10.5 month pups? I won’t be very active this weekend!

eli - If you can afford it, do it! I've recently started doing that, but got lucky with some T2 to T3 breedings and ended up with two T3s. They're of course related but when the purpose is to raise and chase, that's not a super big problem. I've so far only had one litter between them (and as luck had it, a T3 pup!). Be prepared for a fair number of fails though, the other pups of the litter were basically NBWs in terms of markings/coats.

Ideally, breeding two of the same coat together would be best. I think same type (ie Muted Light III x Muted Light III) works similarly, if not the same, where it has a better chance of producing a T3 coat. The same applies with breeding to lower tiers, but there's lower odds then.

I personally would avoid the Warm Medium category (or at least Foxes) if possible, since Fox can be applied and there's plenty of NBW/low gen foxes out there. Of course, go for whatever you can afford though! I can't imagine how exciting it would be to find a T3 in befriending, regardless of base~

To anybody needing somebody to take a few to chase tomorrow, I currently have room for 1! I should be checking in until ~1900 game time.
