NBW chaseds are a disease

NBW chaseds are a disease

A huge problem in the Wolvden ecosystem is already rare chased encounters clogged up by unwanted NBWs. Overpopulation is only getting worse and most of it is crappy wolves that are best deleted from the game entirely.
The simplest solution is making Send Away free.
I mean when there's no chance of finding your own basic wolf, why not save some energy and let everyone else deal with it, right? If Sending Away was free, the problem would decrease substantially as players wouldn't be tempted to go with the cheaper but crappier option and leave their low tier basic wolves for some unlucky player
Someone pls get on this we're fighting for our lives out here

i personally do not see how adjusting "send away" would actually help the issue. it's only 5% of energy, which is easily gained back in minutes. i truly doubt that overpopulation is the way it is because people aren't willing to use 5% of their energy to delete a wolf from the game.

you could also simply starve unwanted wolves until they leave your pack, and then just let their timer run out if you're really worried about that 5% being lost.

the overpopulation is an issue, of course. i do not see where this would be too helpful, though.

obviously if it worked we wouldn't have such an issue with chased NBWs. Most players don't want to sacrifice energy when chasing already exists and it gets expensive when chasing multiple wolves. Starving is fine but it takes time and when you need slots for adols to age up waiting for wolves to leave isn't really an option.
overall I don't think the option that plagues other players should be cheaper than the one that doesn't affect anyone

Support!

I've thought this since send away was added. 5 energy doesn't seem like a lot to some, but as someone who focuses on stats, every bit of energy is vital. That 5 I spent sending away some random wolf could have gotten me a stat. Every bit matters. This is also true for newer players who are building up their supplies and leveling their leads, with a small pack limit to work with.

Send away is, for a playstyle like mine, a punishment. I'm not going to punish myself for just trying to get rid of an unwanted wolf, even if that punishment is considered minor in others' view. It isn't in mine. Especially if it comes down to chasing multiple wolves at once.

There will be a problem with NBWs regardless, but if players don't have to worry about losing anything, they'd be more inclined to choose the option that's more beneficial for others.

I would use send away if it didn't use energy. Compared to chase, send away has an extra cost and gives no benefit to the user in return. I don't mind getting chased NBWs and therefore don't understand the complaint, so it doesn't seem worth it to me (sorry to all players who find it annoying).

Chased wolves are a chance, especially for new players, to get a fun colored or rare wolf for free. It's incredibly annoying with how rare they are for half of them to just be normal NBWs

i was thinking about this suggestion again and i wanted to make my own proposal in an attempt to kind of resolve the issue in a very similar manner

currently, the problem lies with the fact that chasing nbws is free and therefore clogs the chased pool with unwanted rechased. the obvious solution is to make the "send away" option free as well as an attempt to funnel unwanted rechased -- but really having both as free options doesn't fix the problem in any way.

my proposal to add on to this suggestion is to make "chase" cost -5% energy rather than free, and to make the "send away" option free instead

if the cost is as significant as everyone thinks it is, this would reduce the number of unwanted rechased from entering the chance pull and funnel those directly into being deleted from the game altogether . . . .

idk, let me know what your thoughts are
