inkyorchid she looked up, opening her eyes and looking up at oakear. she smiled a weak smile. "i appreciate your concern, oakear. i am fine, though, this dark pelt doesn't keep the sun away." she said, flicking her tail behind her. she watched nightglare and oakear speaking to one another, then off into the thick grove of trees up ahead. |

He smiled. "Anytime, I can't lose anymore clan mates." He closed his eyes and a tear slipped out. "Like my family." He said his voice cracking. |

I looked away, out to the forest. It wasn't time to think about death. The main priority was finding the other clans. And making it through the night. I sighed, trotting over to a patch of long grass, sinking into the prickly stalks. |

inkyorchid she stood heavily, turning her face to the sun beating down on the small group of cats. looking towards hickorystar and the rest of her clanmates, she started off in the direction of them and the shaded undergrowth. |

inkyorchid she nudged herself into a more comfortable walking state, padding between the white molly and the brown tom. "both of you, we need to walk." she nuzzled her chin against oakear, then purred to lakewing. "we are the only cats alpineclan has left, and oakear is right. we're open food for the eagles, and nobody wants to be picked up by big talons. we need to keep moving." she said, walking towards the shadowy part of the forest ahead of them, following nightglare into the tall grasses. |
