Lost blinked at the male with a flicker of amusement flickering over her muzzle before it disappeared replaced by the same calm expression she always wore. "Nice day for a walk hm?" She mused keeping a respectful distance, didn't wanna scare him off of course.
Nervous? Possibly, doesn't seem the type to be aggressive though best to be cautious in this case. His eyes are kinda pretty actually.. what? Weird observation there, not wrong but not on task. Hmm, royalty huh? Possibly a high rank, not the alpha, doesn't carry himself with the confidence Mr bossy does, beta? Hmm doesn't seem right either.. possibly, perhaps delta? But flashy for a delta, but personality, appearance n stuff sorta fit..
Tovan scowled, a hint of amusement in his eyes. "Marking borders, that's all." He smoothed his cloak with his tail. "And you? What brings you to the border?" He tried to avoid staring at her antlers, thinking it was quite rude. He didn't want to start any quarrels, he knew how those ended. Death. This wolf didn't seem to want any quarrels either, which was good.. I suppose it's alright if we have a small chat... Just as long as no one knows...
She nodded slowly not high enough to be excluded from borders, Delta? her mind piped in, though she wasn't to sure why it mattered. "ah, just a walk, ironically, your maybe the second of your pack I've met so far, got curious so I came over" she replied trying to gauge the strangers entire life story based on like, 3 minutes of talking. hmm, seems pack born, what was with that look? annoyed to see me? wouldn't be the first time I've gotten that she thought with mild amusement. where was I? ah yes, likely born with his pack, possible Delta, seems somewhat friendly though maybe a bit cautious, keeps trying to look me over without staring, hilarious, hmm, curious.. wait why does that matter? maybe he secretly has a thing for weirdos she thought almost freaking cackling out loud but instead just laughed in her head.
Tovan laughed under his breath, hoping the she-wolf didn't hear him. Was she... checking him out? No. No, no, no. That has all sorts of wrong written all over it. He glanced back at the female. "Frankly, I haven't ran into much of your pack either. I usually help the betas advise the alphas." He grumbled, narrowing his eyes. "Some ranks with privileges come with a cost." He didn't despise being delta, but he also never got out of the camp. The year before he had begged the alpha to give him more hunter ranks so he didn't feel as excluded in pack life. Sometimes he thought that was a mistake..
hmm was the only thought currently as she listened to him speak. She blinked slowly gazing at him quietly for a few moments, his words clicking into places of her mind. "I see, Delta?" she asked after a moment, just to confirm.. sounds rather boring, glad I'm not stuck with all that, I much prefer my freedom she thought.
He sighed. "Unfortunately. You probably have it easy, right? What's your rank?" He wasn't entirely sure if that was a god question to ask, especially to a rival wolf. He was supposed to hate the Lightning Peaks Pack, and yet... No. He pushed the thought far away. No way am I going there. He thought with another sigh.
hmm, doesn't harm anyone to tell, unless Cilas finds out, then I can pick where I want my grave she joked in her head before returning her gaze to the male. "ah, just your average packmate, tend to just do border patrols or hunts, kinda hard to hunt when.." she just trailed off and shook her head. No reason to say her troubles, especially to an- enemy. doesn't seeeem like an enemy, but oh well

It was way to late in the day. The whole pack must be up by now. Tovan sighed. Now what would his excuse be? "I should probably get back to the pack." He said with a sigh, looking back to the female.
She tilted her head and looked him over interesting wolf. doesn't seem nearly as bad as what I've heard though.. she thought. Lost nodded after a moment "oh, yes, right" she replied "time flies when your talking to a.." she paused and tilted her head enemy? possible advisory? possible pup theif? well not to helpful huh? she thought with a slight frown "err- stranger?" she finished after a moments pause.
