Lumi's Den of Wonderful Misfits (Open!)

Wandering the mountain sides and all throughout, you have come to either appreciate the Dark Battalion that lives here, or loathe them. Strong, courageous, but sometimes a bit unorthodox and potentially savage, they have left their mark. This place is wonderful, isolated, beautiful, and yet, haunting at the same time. More often than not, if he isn't chasing pups to go home, Daemeon is often found stalking the grounds of his homeland to ensure his pack's safety, along with the red devil that is Daeva. The story between them is tense at best. That being said, you have also seen a beautiful, dusty female wandering around. She nurses the pups, tends to the older ones, and teaches the more adolescent children about their way of life inside of the Battalion. It is a family oriented pack, though sometimes it may not seem like it. That being said, she catches your eye and smiles in wolf fashion. A wag of her tail is given, and she looks to a nearby den. The female trots off, and you are encouraged to follow. Upon doing so, you see puppies up here that you are certain you somehow missed in your sweep of the Battalion home grounds.

"These poor souls," Lumi sighs softly, her voice tender and gentle. "They haven't found a home. Most know that they will likely be encouraged to leave the pack to start a life on their own, having been taught as best we can to ensure their survival in the wilds. I, however, would like to at least see them getting a chance to go to another pack that will take them in, teach them their ways. Feel free to interact with them. They'll leave with you, free of any charges, if they feel you are a right fit for them, and they you."

She sweeps her way out of the den, her tail giving a swish before she disappears. Inside, you see plenty of pups and adolescents, all doing something of some sort or other... Who do you approach first? And what do you do when you do so?

Hello, everyone! Here is the adoption center for the Battalion pack. :) That being said, Lumi would love to see her beautiful puppies go to loving homes! Before you participate in the RPing aspect, I've a few rules to put up before puppies are posted.

1) You may only engage in one puppy adoption at a time.

2) You are NOT required to offer the pup anything to take them home with you. All you have to do is RP with them, and convince them to join you.

3) Please, please, please, do not adopt them just to chase them. I cannot enforce this rule, so this is more of a guideline.

4) If you successfully take a puppy home, I ask you wait ONE rollover before coming back for another puppy.

5) More than one person may engage the same puppy to try and adopt it, but I will limit it to 3 people.

All in all, this is meant to be a fun experience. Puppies will be in the next post, with a small snippet of what they are doing. :)

Unfortunately, the den is empty. You see Lumi inside of it, a sad look upon her face as she stares into the depths. More puppies will return here to hopefully find new homes. For now, you wait. 

With a vibrant wag of her tail, Lumi once again greets you at the entrance of the den. There are clearly more pups that are ready to go to new homes here.

This is Suda, and she seems to be smiling at just about everyone that is within the den. Upon seeing you enter the den, she gives a polite nod, a trusting smile.

You see this young female moving around the den, taking it upon herself to help corral the younger puppies. As she looks to you, a bit of exasperation upon her face, she quickly rounds up more puppies. "No! Don't... Ugh..." Now she has to clean one of the puppies. It is clear that Aura would like somewhere new to go, but is extremely reliable in helping.

Tripping over herself and stumbling about, acting a complete fool for the entertainment of the young ones, is Honey. She seems to be laughing and having a grand ol' time.

Over in a corner to herself, painting with what seems to be a bunch of different types of created paint, is a young female, dark in color, named Dusk. As you draw near to see what she is doing, she turns to look at you, a bright light in her crimson eyes. "Oh! Do you like it?" It's a picture of her pack's leader.

Sneering at a few of the other pups and adolescents is Kora. She snorts softly to herself, and seems to mutter darkly under her breath. When caught by Lumi, she offers a quick smile, and a polite apology. "Adults," Tura then curses.

Puffing out her chest and walking with a strut, a few of the female pups watching with envy, is Yenna. She smirks a bit, and upon seeing you, throws a smile your way. "I just know you want to have me joy your pack," she muses. "I can help with anything you want!"

Not to far from the female that is painting is a shy, young male. He peeks out now and again to see what it is she is doing, only to duck behind and do something himself. As you peer around the corner, he gives a squeak of surprise. You, however, see that he has been working on a 'painting' of his own. "D-do you like it?" Cloud asks.

This little fellow seems dedicated to follow Lumi around. He sticks to her like a shadow, watching her every move. He, despite his much shorter legs and larger paws, takes large steps, trips, falls, and gets back up to do it again. Isn't little Powder just adorable?

With a big yawn, Shadow stands up on a small rock to observe his siblings and other pups. He clearly has taken it upon himself, despite the fact that he isn't exactly that big, to watch over all his 'pack'.

i just came across your thread. 

if i need to adopt any pups or adolescent for my pack. i will check out the pups and adolescents available for adoption here. 

Akira was not a wolf very keen on pups. She was a very nervous wolf, and pups only added to that. However her friend was very keen on pups, and much more aggressive than she was. Their entire pack was full of stoic and friendly wolves, so she knew that Opossum wanted action. However, Akira knew that all of the noise would stress her out, and she was the leader of the pack, was she not? There were many pretty pups and playful pups. This den clearly took care of them well. Looking around, she wondered if the smallest one would get along well with the others wolves. She knew that her pups, along with Frost, would definitely like her. Although, they might be jealous. She knew how it felt to be the nervous type, and even had a bout of hesitation when she considered talking to her. Eventually, she walked up to her, giving her a small smile. "Hello love, I'm Akira. What's your name?" She asked.

Kara, suddenly, gives a small squeak. She quickly hides herself, simply by trying to flatten herself to the ground. The female looks up at the stranger, eyes wide and full of fright. However, the small smile reminds her of Lumi, and a weak smile is returned, the faintest of tail wags given. "H-hello," she answers timidly. "M-my name? My N-name is K... Kara." Lumi ensured all her pups she looked after were named. Her mate, Daemeon, often agreed. Kara soon sits herself up, staring up at the other female. There seems to be some hope in her eyes. Is she going to find a new home? Like her pa always told her she would? 

Akira found the timidness endearing. If she nurtured it right, it could become reasonable caution. She sat down, to make herself seem smaller, closer to Kara's level. Though Kara was bigger than her own pups, she didn't seem big enough for her age. She could tell that the pup had some "protectors" here, and felt guilty that if she went home with them, she'd have to leave them behind. But Akira knew that this den would not be open for adoption if they were planning to keep them. "Kara, what do you like to do for fun?" She asked a basic question. Akira wanted to make Kara comfortable first. She would not make a pup come with her if they did not want to go. She looked back into Kara's wide-eyed green gaze with warm, calming blue eyes.
