Obviously not a surgical spay, for the record. I have several females that I keep for roles, but I have no interest in breeding them. For instance, my herbalist is a tier I and I only breed tier IIs. I would love an item (GC item would be fine with me) that will make the wolf unable to fall into heat. I dont have a huge pack, but it would make life easier when I'm checking to see who's in heat, looking through my breeding list, etc. I realize this item wouldn't have a huge use-case, but for some of us, it might be a handy item. To avoid screwing over others in the future, there could be a counterpart item which enables the wolf to be bred again. EDIT - Volinolona #13549 Had this great idea! Copypasta from page 2! "I don't think this needs to be an item - a 'toggle heat' option in a female's settings should be enough. If you toggle it off, you don't see the heat symbol and she doesn't pop up as available to breed. It would essentially just hide her from any breeding options without costing you a dime and be easily reversible - again, without spending anything. I don't think you should have to pay for something like this - no real benefit to you other than preventing an accident, similar to the private and public trade option now requiring you to pick one before posting to avoid accidentally setting a private trade public, which is also free - so a toggle seems more reasonable than an item. It also wouldn't require new art nor the other things that come with adding a new item, just some coding, which I'm sure the staff would appreciate." |

Because it would have fairly low usage, very likely at least, I think it also could just be a Fertility Snake item and be buyable for SC. Same for the infertility cure, that could only be used on wolves that were made infertile with the item. And there should be some marking on the wolf to show that the infertility item was used. Also, I think it would be fun if the item to make wolf infertile would be based on a berry. And item to reverse the effect would be based on a flower. Why? Because Pasque Flower adds temporary fertility and Juniper Berries remove fertility. // Edit Plus, since turning a wolf into infertile doesn't really have any benefits. It could be SC item for that. Aging crystal has far better benefits and it's also just SC item, same for personality changers. |

but you could just...not breed the wolves if you dont want to. i dont get why there needs to be an item for it |

The point is to make them unbreedable, so it would remove them from your breeding list, they wouldn't get a heat icon, etc. |

Yeah this is something I kind of wish I had. I've stopped breeding a few of my females so they're young and go into heat really often. Not only could I accidentally breed them, but people message me sometimes asking for reverse breedings. |

Support! I've been trying to be a bit more selective in which females I breed in my pack. Since most of my pack is female to begin with, a lot of them have a big red X to remind me. I also bought a pup that has lineage to one of the more popular studs and don't plan to breed her at all, since that stud has sired so many pups. The majority of my females are still on cooldowns from the final breeding I did with them before deciding to limit my pack this way, and I can see their heats becoming a huge temptation even with me wanting to avoid overbreeding in my own pack. An item that makes them infertile/no longer breed would be really nice for that reason. |

If you're not planning to breed them ever... you could just make them males? Makes their heats ago away and is reversible if you ever sell them. If you have some lore or something with a female only Pack you can say they are trans wolves or just pretend they're female, since males and females don't have different lineart or anything. |

I’d be worried someone might sell one and the buyer might not realise it’s been made infertile, so if it was going to be done then there would need to be a very obvious symbol I think to avoid this (whether or not selling them as infertile is purposeful or accidental doesn’t really matter). |

You cant sex change a wolf thats already been bred. But yes I agree. It would need a really obvious symbol or need to be untradable |
