@Fal Thank you! The CSS is free from a link that has the code which is no problem since it fits the theme just as well as I need it to be it took a while (and a lot of SC) to get the wolves I wanted. I will probably still hoard more wolves like it since I mainly want to breed blue/pastel wolves but warmer coloured wolves are still welcome.

I'm pretty new to this site so I could be totally off base, but on the wonky market topic, but I've always thought a Mintel-style market & player preferences report would be an interesting project to undertake!

Also, as the power gaming stats breeder I am, I wonder if one possible solution to giving people something to value other than low-gen wolves would be to create more clear opportunities where stats matter? Like I've noticed that ever since the pup training feature was added, it's given really high statted wolves that are IB/long-lined more value.

I'm not sure if someone has already made a report or have collected data about the market on what they are looking for in a wolf. If not I could always make a thread with a poll to see what people will choose or say

I made the fox base with the help of a friend because I want to make nice chases for people and have good lineaged T3s to give out to free to newbies and older players who desperately want T3s... Also I just like pretty wolves in general and the lad I slapped the base on is really pretty imo

There was actually a survey done on trading habits. It went into pretty good detail, too - whether you were a buyer or consumer, what your advertising habits were like, what wolves you sold, what you tried selling them for, what you would buy them for, what mattered to you personally (stats, looks, etc.,) what worked and what didn't - it kept going and asked for every little thing that mattered. It was an interesting take and fun to participate in, and the creator of the survey even created a pie chart to show off the statistics and everything once it was over.

This was back around the beginning of WD though, around October-December, so its data would be pretty outdated by now. I tried looking for it, but I think the whole thread's gone now for some reason? It would still be helpful to look at, but yeah, nowhere to be found. I do think it would be nice to have something like that again - and who knows, maybe there is but we just don't know where to find it. /shrug

Edit: Actually, I'm going to paraphrase and say I THINK it was around Oct-Dec. All I know for sure is that it was no later than March. My memory is godawful, save me from myself. :'v

I think I will make a thread anyway. It probably won't be in too much detail, simply being a poll and I will include a pie chart. People may as well add onto their thoughts about the option they chose in the poll. I'll link the thread here once I made it. I will probably add different polls. God the psychology student in me always gets excited to make polls though I think that is the same for anyone who loves to see data and studies

I think another cool thing to make raise and chasing more rewarding would be a system similar to the enclave: you'd get SC or maybe other rewards based on the wolves you chase. Age, tiers, markings etc. could all be worth different amounts and it could change on a day to day basis.

Don't know how well it would work, but (maybe through an event, even Lunar) a player could pick one of their wolves, once a month and pick some sort of high reward. I initially just though "erase linage" but you could include a major stat boost, base change (maybe pick base type but have the tier be random), marking of choice, random background given, etc. Choice I initially thought of would basically be chasing your own wolf, erasing all their linage.

Like I said, don't know if that's an unrealistic ideal, but would let some extra clean wolves into the gene pool and let some people achieve difficult goals, while also giving other options to people who don't mind linage. Other options like background is just another market boost. If it's a one-wolf-once-a-month it doesn't flood the system/market with wacky stuff.

Edit: Definitely all for some sort of reward system for chasing too

It could be like the system in a different site like this got to do with dragons that the rarer the gene is the more treasure you get and type of dragon that it is. Can be the same for the wolves,  the rarer the wolf the more rewarding it is
