Chased Wolf Spotting!!!

On the mutations topic, that inbreeding cause more mutations, especially lethal ones. I have a cat that has a birth defect because there was some sort of inbreeding in his bloodline which is very unfortunate. He has maine coon DNA which caused him to have gum issues. Inbreeding happens with animals who are wanting to continue their species for survival and they do try to avoid inbreeding but if they are unable to find non-relatives is what would cause them to inbreed and then cause birth defects.

Though as a mutation ideas, I think it would be cool if certain illnesses in a pregnant wolf would cause a mutation in the pup or cause having a chance of having a mutie. But in Lioden, a forced miscarriage and eating lion meat would cause a better chance of getting a mutie, wolvden can have the same thing. I do know wolvden will eventually have certain features that lioden has so I'm being patient about that.

Oof, I know the Grulla pain. I've been fortunate enough to breed a few gen 2 grullas (not sure what my plans are for them, since none have inherited the het eyes that I want on them), but I feel a little bad studding to the same NBW grulla stud every time. Once I get my own Grulla stud I plan on Raising and Chasing a bunch of grullas to try and fix that problem.

@pikachu I see your inbred wolf and I raise you these two (deliberately inbred>:D) link and link

And the inbreeding is only gonna get worse

@Coyote if you ever need a teardrop for your stud, message me! My G2s are not selling so I'd be happy to give them to someone who puts their small lines to good use

Aye, same thing happened with our huskies from San Diego.  The father was from that line, and mom was an alaskan (if it runs it races type of breeding), but her pups still had the wheezing dad did as a pup.  Problem was, the three affected* puppers didn't grow out of it.

It makes them better pets since they can't husky without, like, majorly exhausting themselves.  For one, it's very bad.  She can't even get excited without having breathing issues.

At least I can feel more comfortable mentioning it since Trolljan did.  I'm sorry about your cat's struggles, by the way.

*Edit for clarity.  There were 9 pups born, and I agree further about an item increasing mutation chance, and look forward to its release as well.

@somnum (hey again haha) I'm so surprised Teardrops aren't selling! There's not a lot of them out there it feels like. Gonna take a look through yours right now. ^^

Edit: Just realized you own West Mu, they are literally my favorite Teardrop on this site and my NBW Isabel will be having his pups in 2 days, fingers crossed.

Currently I've only got one up (my female sold, yay!) He's nothing special markings-wise so I think maybe that's influencing his selling?

Unfortunately the little cat (not so little anymore, that longhair cat is huge with all that fur thanks to his Maine coon genetics). His birth defect was in his hips and legs, he can't bend those joints and walks kind of funny but it doesn't seem to bother him, he's still a very energetic and playful kitten and fast at running. No seriously he's fast and likes to play chase and he always wins. I'm sorry about your puppers, it's pretty much like pugs where they are bred so much to what they are nowadays that they have defects, and there was another breed of dogs that are bred to be in a state that they literally can't have pups without dying and need to have the pups surgically removed. It's really unfortunate to how animal breeds are bred to be to a point where it causes issues. Cats don't have too much of an issue when it comes to breeding, except when it comes to breeding a domestic house cats with actual wild cats like servals and ocelots because of the market wanting those types of cats but the savannah and bengal cat breeds end up being too wild for domestic life unless they are trained well. Same goes for wolf-dogs, wolves bred with a dog to have a more wild and unique breed but end up too wild to keep unless they are trained.

I have a new line Teardrop that I'm gonna make a rotation stud! G4 but unrelated to any super big names. Like I mentioned previously, giving nice wolves to people/the chase pool makes me happy

Late on this topic, but I really wish there were more reliable ways to get lethal muties. I don't want them as common as albino and melanism are now, because that would ruin the hell out of them. We don't need ANOTHER thing that's devalued into dirt. But the fact that there's like no way to get them, except for pure RNG? :(

This mainly upsets me since I'm a completionist with mild OCD. How can I get those achievements if it's a 0.000001% chance to breed all those mutations on a single account? Not possible, and that causes me pain.

I do think people are a little too crazed about inbreeding, personally. To each their own, of course! I don't like seeing repeating names either, but as long as the inbreeding is 5+ gens out, then whatever. I only excessively care about inbreeding when it comes to sales, but then again... nothing ever sells so why bother care lmaoo.

Hopefully down the line, there's more things to improve long lineages or inbreeding in people's eyes. And better mutations too, because the carrier ones are boring or useless. (Sorry brachy lovers.)

I know what you mean, Saeginko!! The chance brings me pain because of wanting achievements, too.
