Yeah, the game did lose a lot of its life to me when I started caring about lineages. Now that I'm starting to get myself back into not caring, (because I gave up on selling wolves, the only reason I got into NIB obsession in the first place,) it's so nice and freeing. I just grab whatever wolf is pretty and it's all good. Like look at this girl. She's distantly inbred, but look at her and tell me she wasn't worth it.

right now im focusing on short lines just because i've got this goal and it's actually been really hardā€¦ im trying to breed the sites first serpentine mela, i would love for him to be nothing more than third gen so that i can make him more desirable as a stud. he'll be 1 GC. ahaha. my ultimate plan

but once that's over, i'll be back to not caring about lines so much, and honestly that'll be so much more fun

I see people in wolvden have new studs every time there are new bases to use and I don't know how they're able to dispose of a stud just like that because their bases aren't hip anymore. I also look at their dens and see that they don't even bother naming their wolves, they have names like "teardrop mom, lavender glass, etc" I mean I do the same for my breedings to wolves that I don't want to be part of my pack but I do have wolves that I keep because I love them so I give them unique names. But these people have none of that, it's just breeding and I'm like, what's the point?? When they get all that SC and GC, what do they do with it?? Just spend it on getting more wolves to breed with? And the thing is, it's the majority

As a newer player I agree, the first couple weeks were spent not caring/knowing about linage; then I learned how hated long lined wolves were and suddenly disliked my wolves. I'll admit I've resold/chased a few long lined breeders, as I'm not super attached to them but more the selling potential of their pups. But I had to talk myself into ignoring ancestry and enjoy my favorite wolves as is.

I mean, yeah he's a long-lined, big name Fox, but I am obsessed with this boy. 		Alex (Coyote)

Sorry for double post but I also see people selling wolves up to 20000 SC or more and I have NO IDEA who has that amount of SC to afford that...

Whenever I see the term 'rotating out' for studs I'm always like ??? you can afford that?? Absolute madlad. I'm taking my stud out early since a wonderful player gifted me a NBW Serp, and dude, seeing that GC price is killing me. It's too soon since I replaced my previous stud, I don't know how people can afford to do that like clockwork.

Like I mentioned before, when a player catches the popularity wave just right, they can get enough income to hop right onto the next wave that comes by. It's hard to join them if you aren't already 'in.'

That's part of the issue for me with T3 NBWs - if you don't have the fortune to find one, you probably aren't joining the valuable club. :/

@ Trolljan Yeah, is anyone paying that much? I've seen like 400 GC. I won't lie and say I haven't spent way too much GC for the short amount of time I've been on here, but ouch... even moreso when it comes to SC because I have no clue how to earn that at a decent pace. 		Alex (Coyote)

I wanted to pop in to mention I have enjoyed Khaki though I was present for a Chatter Box Poll wherein Khaki was "the most hated base on Wolvden," - I do not care, both of my first Breeding Males were Khaki.Ā  I left them open to Public "just in case" - one was Black Shaded NBW and the other was a wolf I bought for, I think 5 SC?Ā  They befriended a Glass Eye Red Shaded Khaki (I know y'all see a pattern, leave me be!) and I got her out of him, with the help of my friend~!Ā  For her part, she got a wolf with Black Points at 80+ :)Ā  I did give her a Base Changer, but that's something you do for friends anyway.

TL;DR ~ I have played this game from start to now for my own preferences, regardless of knowledge of what is "popular" or not, and have been very happy.Ā  I hope everyone can be, too.

I remember when Selene first came into the game with violet eyes. In the second day I saw advertisements for their stud with selene and violet eyes and I was like HOW??? Sure it is possible but exploring in the dream world always has me only reach at least near 200LT everyday and I know it is possible to get 250 but I doubt they were lucky enough to get 250LT. Then Luna came, the first day I saw edverts for studs with luna and I was like, HOWWWW?? I don't know how they're able to do it, they are either loaded with irl money or they're active almost 24/7 to get so far in the game while casual or semi-active players are in the dust. When fox came out, first day I saw adverts of studs with fox. HOWWWWWW? They have crazy luck that's for sure.
