Is ther HTML for alternating icons? I see some that switch on refreshing??

I noticed it earlier and thought I just caught someone that switched their Tag/Icon between page flips, but as I kept refreshing It kept changing and I realize they have a cycling tag! I dont think it's just an alternating gif, but I have no idea how to code for that?? (or anything really, but a rotating tag/icon sounds so awesome)!
