*this method is NOT 100% guaranteed - you could have a carrier who never shows a mutation while being scried or you may get a "fake" melanistic clone who appears as having the mutation but is just a plain black pup. This method is a newly discovered way of checking. If you scry a known carrier or mutation with an unknown, if the unknown IS a carrier, you may see muties in the scry of pups! While testing with known carriers, within 5 scries, most times carriers will show a mutated pup. First thing you need to do is go look up an albino or melanistic wolf in the game You will need to find a carrier who is the opposite sex of your wolf. To do this, you will need to go to the mutie and click VIEW FAMILY. If you are wanting to check female wolves, you need the ID# of the FATHER. |

Edit: Also, if you go to Wardrobe and try to compare it with a black wolf and a Melanistic, the Melanistic will have a darker body, it is even a little difficult to see the base lines. |

If you're looking for albinos, check claws and eyes if you can't tell. For another tip for possible mel wolves, scry on something you can change the brightness of and then use the guide above and check the neck. It's has example of what Pixote was talking about. |

I'd like to add on this, I decided to play around and check some of my wolves, just generally messing around to see if I could get some and I think it worked out? This was a scried possibilty of one of my girls, after raising the brightness of my phone and comparing it to a black base wolf it appears to be a Melanistic pup I believe. Link But it works on more than just the secondary mutations, which I didn't expect to see when I tested out on another one of my girls o: Link I'm about to waste all my SC on scrying now xD |

@RatProphet🐀 Your pup is not a melanistic :( the skin is white (look the paws) and the claws are not black too, I think |

Ah well, it was worth a shot. I was more surprised to see the primary mutation pop up in the scry tbh. |

I can see this method being used on the potential albinism/melanism carriers in the TC. If anyone ever feels like scrying them it would be neat to keep a list somewhere of the potential carriers that were scried and whether any of them came back positive after about 5 tries maximum each. Problem is this will get costly but it might be worth getting them checked at some point. |

That would be best, have a spreadsheet of all studs that have had scried mutations. I see a lot of people basing the stud fee on it, but it would be nice to have a definite list of what studs you could try with. |

RatProphet🐀 all scries can show lethal mutations since they are not genetic. This only works for melanism, albino, and brachy because they are genetic and require both parents to have the recessive gene in order to get a mutation. |
