Levelling your lead

Yeah, people are definitely using a lot of guarana's and healing salves (likely following the guides to increase the odds of finding salves; since it gives you a rough idea of which explore choices reward them).

Other than that, daily quests. And possibly timing/setting a reminder when your lead's energy is good for exploring again (not feasible for those of us in fulltime work/school necessarily, of course).

i'm also at level 7, nearly level 8! biggest thing i can suggest coming from beta is making sure you do your snake quest every day, the exp really adds up if you're able to complete one a day. although sometimes it's hard if you get unlucky with the quest :( lucky feet are also awesome, even if they aren't instant wins like lioden, i can still take down level 18+ bears and such using them! still would suggest you go into the fight with a fair amount of health tho, heh.

I recognize the #1 on the leadboard; this person bought all of my lucky feet. I would assume a LOT of investment in energy, healing salve, lucky feet, etc. I don't have nearly that much GC XD. 

Yes! Oh, @Hael you reminded me...

I've also been fighting (at max) wildlife that is 3 levels above my lead. Those can be challenging, but they are possible without the use of Lucky Feet (I believe up to 5 levels above your lead is doable, but that could have been dumb luck on my side since I've only done it once). If you've got lucky feet though, save them for the level 18+ and such - don't use them on a battle you can win without.

What encounters give you lucky feet? I have yet to see one.

I know one of the beaver encounters in the mountains can give you a lucky foot if you give an acorn

I've gotten a few lucky feet from giving acorns to some of the birds, too.
