former pack members keep their background and decors

I just wanted to create the same thread and I have fortunately found this one through Search! Absolute support. As of now, I am only applying decors to my Leader & Stud, cause those are my most "visible" wolves: people see my leader on my page and on my friends' profiles in the friends section, and the Stud is being advertised so he has to be pretty.

However, I see no use to dress up my regular pack members as of now. I was very excited to apply decors in the wardrobe to all of my wolves when I started playing, since I wanted to make "outfit plans" on how I want to decorate them later. After I've learned that wolves in the Dynasty don't preserve any of the decors or background, I have stopped all of my attempts to get decors. It seems useless. Decors lose uses, my wolves will die in a few months and all I will have are their "naked" default images.


That was really upsetting and disappointing for me. Please, allow us to make a choice if we want the decors removed or kept on the wolf permanently after it dies. As far as I know, when a wolf dies, there's a grace period where you can pay to save it in the dynasty. Please allow us to change the wolf's decors in that period. I don't know if we should be allowed to add more decors, that's up to you to decide. Anyways, the player can make a choice to either remove some (or all) decors from the wolf during the grace period or keep them. After that time is over, the wolf's image is permanently locked and cannot be altered. It retains the background/decors kept on the wolf and they can't be taken off.

It doesn't HAVE to be this strict, but I assume that would reduce server space dedicated for one wolf, since it becomes this one static image.

it was upsetting and disappointing to me too that former pack members don't keep their decor. i agree we should have the choice if we want to remove the decor or keep it on the wolf permanently. 

of course its up to you to decide if you want to add more decor to the wolf that has passed.  

i'm not sure about having a grace period where you have time to change the wolf's decor. 

i think you should be able to add and or remove decor from a former pack members and leaders at any time. thats just me. 

Support, but I think it would be really hard to implement.

First, I think that if a background/decoration has 5 uses, I should be able to apply it to 5 different wolves at the same time. I would happily buy 2 of the same background if it could be used to dress up a majority of my pack. But I am not going to buy one background to use on essentially one wolf for five generations (based on my play style). 

As it is now, when wolves die all their decor gets returned to your inventory. If the item was on its last use, I assume it just disappears. If you restored a wolf to the dynasty, would there be a button to restore its previous decor? Would they make a button you can click on a live wolf's profile that says you intend to send it to the dynasty so don't get rid of the items? That would be a lot of coding to work out I think. But if they fixed the decor where you only apply one use of the item to the wolf, then the wolf could die, still have its items, and be sent to the dynasty that way. 

If they don't adjust anything else, then adding decor to dynasty wolves would be nice so you could preserve your items, kind of using it as a gallery for your background collections, for example.

Seeing people say "this suggestion should be toggleable because some decors I want to use on a living wolf instead/it would be hard to implement it", I think another way to word this suggestion is "dynasty wolves have access to the equipper" I think just having the equipper button on the wolf's dynasty page is way simpler than having unique buttons and toggles when the equipper already exists.

But anyways, support! I have a wolf who's scar is important to her character, and I think it would be fun to have my wolves use backgrounds that reflect where they come from, but I haven't bothered because it seems like a waste. I also was tempted to splurge on some GC during black friday, but opted not to because I was thinking "That's a lot of real money for a decor with limited uses."

The dynasty is for preserving the memory of our former wolves, and decor can be an important part of that memory!

i agree having the equiper button on the dynasty page is lot easier than unique buttons and toggles.

Just add an 'equipper' button to dynasty wolves :D
