Adelite felt flooded with emotions. She didn’t know how to feel. “I’m-I’m going to clean up in the stream.” She padded into the woods. She let the coke water clear her head but the blood only made her see Kodi.

Z walked beside her " You did so good, honey. your alpha now. You should be happy" 

“Yea I should,” she said sadly. “Am I like.. that other alpha? The one that killed Kodi. Kodi wasn’t great but he’s- dead now. Am I going to make a good leader?”

Z nuzzled her " you arent anything like that other female, honey. You're braver than you think. Im proud of you. Now come on, you can rest with me if you want"

Adelite followed Kodi back, still in a daze. She curled up next to him in the alphas den. “Kodi... will you be my beta?”

Z sighed " anything for you honey. " he licked her face lovingly and soon fell asleep

Adelite stayed awake for a little while longer but eventually drifted off.

Z was still asleep beside Adelite the next morning, when Lust came over to the alphas den " you need to go hunting Adelite"

Adelite nudged Z awake. “I’ll arrange hunting parties and lead one myself this morning Lust.”

Lust looked at the two of them when Z woke up. " All right"

Z yawned and stretched  after Lust left the Alphas den " What was all that about" he asked groggily
