Z and Kassie ran after Adelite back tot he camo. Lust say they and looked right at Adelite " You told me you would be back soon, did you not?" then looked at Z "  And you, you need to keep an eye on the time, if you are going with her in the future"

“I never told you anything Lust,” she said calmly but her voice was laced with ice. “Scouting the territory took as long as it did. We also got some prey in case *you* couldn’t catch enough.”

Lust backed off " Wel then"

Kassie lowered her head before walking off in deep thought. She wondered if Lust was the right  one to even have chosen in the first place.

Z scoffed at Lust " Hey.. take it easy on Adelite, Lust. She getting  hang of it. She may be new to being alpha now, but shes getting the help from me and Kassie. Maybe even Windy if he can get his furry butt over every so often" she then looked over at Adelite " come on, dear..  back to the den you go"

Adelite dropped her fish with the other prey and followed Z. She was deep in thought.

Z was waiting for her with his head on his paws and watched Adelite with his  eyes " What seems to be the problem, dear.. is it Lust?" he asked " c'mere"

"Among other things," she said sitting beside him. She pawed at a rock on the ground as she spoke. "Just worrying about Alpha stuff."

" Dont worry about Lust. Shes just jealous" Z said licking her face  " You will be the best alpha this pack has ever had"

“Maybe,” she sighed, sinking to her belly. “Z, I’m confused. What are we? I’m not good at these things and I can’t really tell.”

Z nuzzled her " Oh honey. you are new to this role. you will get better at it, I promise you. even if it takes a few years. We have al the time in the world. And as beta, I tend to help you in anyway shape or form. I promise"

“That’s not what I mean,” she said, sighing. “ I mean our relationship.”
