pronoun changes?

I agree with Hydde- I've yet to have seen anyone decide not to use a stud that fits their aesthetic/stat preferences over the pronouns in their name or tagline. And if someone does decide to do that, I honestly think they'd be in the minority of players who would go so far as to even really care, as I'm sure even people who are against this idea would largely still use a non-cis wolf for stud, even if they disagreed with the concept, solely bc it had the stats/marks/base they were looking for. |

that seems like… a stretch of a problem. and like something completely unrealistic. it would be pointless to not share your wolves pronouns with others in “favor” of their biological sex because that’s more inherently transphobic than the other way around. as a trans person myself i would enjoy seeing other people have different pronouns on their wolves and i think it should be something kept public. there are trans girl and nonbinary wolf studs already, and they get a lot of foot traffic. people will still use them like i’m sure people would just accept the stud request |

They're wolves. They don't have a concept of gender or non-binary or pronouns. They're either male or female. This is an unnecessary and confusing idea. No support. Use the footnotes, that's what they're there for. |

they’re capable of having complex pack rankings and clearly are sentient in this universe. i think it would be counter productive to assume that they have no concept of gender because they’re capable of being gay and further adopting puppies and have a concept of society. they have medicine as well. trans wolves would exist |

I just realized that I don't think I ever supported this. :0 I thought I did but I forgot oops- Anyway, it's not a matter of game mechanics that will greatly affect gameplay, it's a change of pronouns in flavor text. An optional little thing that can be big to those who appreciate it, and not much different for those who are indifferent. Pretty simple situation. If you like it, you use it. If you don't like it, don't use it. I don't know if I'd ever actually use it myself, but I know others would love it - and they have the right to. :P Support! |

Hey all! We're posting on this topic to remind everyone once again to keep your responses respectful to all players and on-topic in regard to the original suggestion. Even if you might not agree with someone's views or outlooks, making a post on this forum topic specifically to call out why someone's opinions might be wrong, rather than contributing to the original suggestion with respectful and meaningful input, is not the purpose of the game development forums. We've once again cleaned up this topic and ask that you please stay respectful with future replies. This is a moderator post. |

This would be a lovely addition to the site! My upcoming lead uses they/them pronouns and it would be cool to see that reflected in flavor text. |

Support to this! Literally all it does is help make players more comfortable and immersed- which we have a precedent set for allowing with the fact we have same-sex pair bonds. The game isn't realistic and it never will be, so I don't consider that a factor at all too, especially considering like.... again this doesn't affect anyone except the people who want to use it. It would be simple to add in the ability to change a wolves pronouns under its settings, defaulting to using its assigned sex unless changed by the player, and they wouldn't function differently in any way from how their assigned sex normally does. It's just for flavor text. And it's cute and inclusive, I'd love to see this feature and I would absolutely use it. |

Full support! It's a great idea for lore purposes for one, but also for inclusion for anyone who wants their trans wolves to have the right pronouns used in flavor text. I personally find it annoying when my breeding "male" returns from scouts and the flavor text calls her the wrong pronoun(s). |
