Best Role for Gaining Stats?

My customized breeding male needs stats, desperately. x_x
He was introduced during the tutorial so I had no control over his stats, but I did have control over his looks. And while I adore how he looks, I dread how he fares.
I'm not worried about his Energy getting munched because he's not gonna be doing much breeding as-is with his current allotment. So, what's the best role to shove him into to just grind stats? Random buffs obtained from roles and level-ups seem to be our only way to go, since consuming items currently don't give any ups. Not necessarily looking to boost his level, he's already at 5-- just the stats. My Herbalism gal seems to get a flat rate of zilch for every successful forage, so that one's off the table.

Truthfully, hunting or scouting are the best roles for stat gain. I find scouting slightly better.

From what I've noticed both my scouters have the highest stats in my pack.
They all started with around the same stats because they were NBW, but the scouters quickly rose up!

It's a bit hard to tell sometimes because even though my guy's a higher level than the others (NBWs) he has much lower stats. Almost 100 difference. So I don't want him to end up like, level 25 but has the stats of essentially a 10, you know what I mean?

as a little add-on, you can also control which stats they gain by choosing specific biomes.

Whoa whoa wait, what?? Alright I'm gonna have to dig around and see what I can find about this.
