Writing Examples King Shade Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown. Shade is not, and will never be, what you might call a natural born leader. The brute was born to a large litter, the litter itself just one of many sired by his father over the years. Siblings and half-siblings and cousins surrounded him from infancy, most stronger and older than he, and so Shade, aptly named for his curiously dark pelt, learnt to embody his namesake in more than just colour. It was necessity that drove him to solitude, world-weary from a young age and much preferring his own company to the chaos and noise of his fellows, with just one exception. His half-brother, Wight, with whom he shared an absent and disinterested father, was the only one Shade could tolerate; an irony, really, as they did not appear to have much in common beside a parent. Wight was charming, debonair, and outgoing; capable of conversing with just about everyone. He took life in his stride and did not waste time overthinking that which could not be changed. In spite of this, he was also kind and welcoming, never bullying or teasing his younger siblings as many of his littermates did, and after a while, Shade saw the hidden depths that Wight feared to show. The bravado was an act, Shade realised -- as much a defence mechanism as his own introvertism. Despite their many differences, the half-brothers are the perfect complement to one another’s disposition. A perfectly balanced yin and yang. By the time Shade had decided he would escape the pack, he and Wight were inseparable, and there was no question as to whether Wight would accompany him. Shade had never had any intention of leading a pack, content simply to travel until they found a new one worth joining, but fate had other plans for them. (310 words = 155 SC) Companion Wight Mad, bad, and dangerous to know. Wight is a brute bursting with charisma and charm, his cerulean blue eyes as alluring as they are mysterious. Unlike his younger brother, Wight is outgoing and unwavering positive, acting as the very wind in Shade's sail, always pushing him, always testing his reserved and cautious nature. Where Shade is steady, steering the pack with precision and deliberation, Wight is adventurous and impulsive, helping to temper his brother's reticence. In turn, Shade keeps his older brother in check and channels his boundless energy into something more refined. (93 words = 47 SC)

@Yutoya here is Salama! Again lmk if you want anything changed. I should have Voitokas done in the next few hours too <3
Beauty is a form of genius. The divine beauty of Salama is apparent to all, but none more so than Salama himself. Having always been complimented for his handsome pelt and impressive strength, Salama is confident in a way some wolves can only dream of being and has incited jealous rage in many a male. This confidence has led Salama to care little what others think of him, or indeed what others think of anything. As opinionated and direct as they come, Salama does not suffer fools gladly and has very little patience for rudeness or stupidity, though he is only rude himself if provoked. As if his gods-blessed, tawny markings and brilliant blue eyes weren’t enough, Salama was also gifted with intelligence. Whether he inherited such smarts from his mother, Venla, or father, Dreizehn, is unclear, but Salama considers himself sharper than both of them anyway. Such self-assuredness is not without reason, either, as the male is uncannily perceptive. Beneath all the sarcasm and cockiness, Salama is witty and smart. Even the wise, balanced Taisto has found himself unable to disagree with Salama’s opinions, however arrogant or unsolicited those opinions may be. Deep down, Salama is not a bad person by any measure. Perhaps a little too vain, perhaps a little too conceited, but he makes up for these flaws by being otherwise pleasant, charismatic, and kind in his own, unique way. He may never offer a packmate his shoulder to cry on after a bad day, nor an outright apology for being too blunt, but he does care, even if he shows it in small and subtle ways. @Yutoya and here he is! Thank you so, SO much for commissioning me. I really enjoyed doing these & your wolves are wonderful :D VOITOKAS true neutral; short; personality only Always speak truthfully with a childlike heart. Ever since childhood, Voitokas has preferred observing to participating. When his fellow pups asked him to play, Voitokas would politely decline, not wanting to spoil their fun with his inexperience or dour attitude. In truth, he struggles to connect with his pack mates, unable to understand why they so enjoy socialising, play-fighting, and showing affection. Voitokas is simply different and he has always known it. What seems to come naturally to others, such as tact and emotiveness, he cannot comprehend. As such, the brute is often blunt and deadpan, vocalising his thoughts without filter or subtlety. This is, of course, not to say that Voitokas wants to hurt anyone with his words. Quite the opposite, in fact, as he cares very deeply about his pack mates. They are his family, and though he struggles to show it in traditional ways, he loves them dearly. While his words can sometimes be unintentionally hurtful, this is not always the case. Often, he will make positive observations, too, though his compliments sometimes take a few moments to register as such, as they are indistinct in tone from criticisms. Beneath the dark circles and brooding disposition, Voitokas has a heart of gold, and anyone who mistakes his sullenness for indifference is a fool indeed. It can take a while to get used to his specific ways of showing affection, such as listening attentively or offering to share a meal, but they are no less meaningful than nuzzles and smiles. It is not as difficult as it might appear to earn the brute’s affection, either, and once it is, Voitokas is as loyal and steadfast as they come. The Starlight Society is blessed to have such a rare gem among them, even if they don’t know it yet. (Written by Vulcanthropy #32381) (300 words = 150 SC) |

Aaahh gosh aaahhh GOSH both of these personality summaries are p e r f e c t! It's simply amazing how you can take my very short descriptions and turn them into something so beautifully written and in-depth (and incorporate things like stats and family lineage too!) I adore Salama's and Voitokas' summaries so much, you have no idea! I've read through all three of them several times now, and each time I love them more! I'll definitely be back ;) |
