New Quest!

After precisely 30 rollovers of gameplay time after you signed up, and the completion of the quest 'The Next Generation', a new quest will be available for you in the Questing area: A Pair of Lovers. This is a brand new quest brought to you by Tala that will introduce a new game mechanic for you!

Without wanting to spoil too much, and as we feel Tala (and the relevant new site areas) explain it more than enough, we're just going to leave you with this screenshot and let you guys discover it on your own.

To go hand in hand with this, any breeding males that get removed as breeding males will no longer be prevented from being able to be set as breeding males again. Any existing wolves with the 'previous breeding male' flag have been unset, and can be made breeding males again, if you wish!

P.S. we recommend that you have one adult male wolf and one adult female wolf to complete this quest.

December Gifting

Gift Bundles left on your den

To kick off this holiday season, whether you celebrate anything specific or just enjoy the traditional festivities, you can participate in gifting!

Until December 24th 23:59, you can create small bundles for other members on their Den pages that contain up to 5 components, that can include items, Silver Cones or Gold Cones. You can even choose a personalised gift wrapping for them! If you want to be extra mysterious, you can also leave the gift anonymously! Please note, you can only gift each member once, so be sure with what it is you want to leave for them. Additionally, you can only leave a gift to a member who has been active since December this year!

You'll see an indicator of how many gifts have been left for you on your den page. From December 25th 00:00 (Christmas Day!) until December 31st 23:59, you'll be able to open and receive your gifts! Until then, have fun imagining what kinds of wonders have been left behind for you! :O And if you forget to open your gifts before January hits? Don't worry! They'll wait there for you until next year!

Added Note: Gifted food does not rot, so feel free to gift as many food items to players as you'd like!

Foxes!

Yay! From now on, in all biomes you will find new common, easy Fox enemies. We matched each species to its natural biome - for example, Gray Fox will appear in the Desert, but it won't appear in the Tundra. Red Fox also sports an extra winter coat!

They have a chance of dropping new trophies, including new rare recipes...

Along with this update, we're adding biome exclusive Decors to Raccoon Wares! Each shop will have a unique set of Fox decors - an adult and a kit in variety of coats and subspecies, matched the best we could to the biomes, for the variety.

Fox applicators!

As soon as your Fox enemies drop a Recipe, you will find yourself able to craft new applicators:

Eye Applicator [Fox]
3x Fox Pelt [Gray], 5x Fox Tail [Gray], 2x Fox Skull, 10x Canine Claw, 10x Canine Fang

Base Applicator [Fox]
5x Fox Pelt [Red], 10x Fox Tail [Red], 1x Fox Skull, 20x Canine Claw, 20x Canine Fang

The new base is a Warm Medium Tier III base - meaning, as soon as you're able to apply and breed it, Tier III bases will be able to be bred with selective breeding! This is also a base that can be bred without the app - it can appear during general Tier III breedings - but this is the way we wanted to introduce our first applicator, and it will always let you have the option of applying the base directly.

This base is not special, and we're waiting for Events to introduce such bases.

The Fox Eyes can be applied via the applicator as well. They have that unique slit pupil!

New Craftable Decorations

Recipes for the following Backgrounds & Decors can be found at the same time as when you'd usually find a cave building item from an explore encounter:

And finally, here's the round up of small updates that have been happening since the last development update:

Minor Change

* Choosing "For Stud" when searching for wolves will now only show studs of players that have been active within the past 7 days.
* Collapsible search filter sections will now remember whether they were closed or open. This is per-device, and clearing your cookies will reset them to being open.
* When breeding two wolves, any pending stud requests the female wolf has sent out will be automatically rejected/returned.
* Bookmarks are now ordered alphabetically by their name. This may only update your sidebar after a re-save or change to your bookmarks.
* Unread notifications, with the exception of Daily Rollover Summaries, can now be deleted from the notification list page.
* Bugbox now has a new notification system. Message notifications will still be sent with admin replies, but when other members reply you will just get a "Bug notification" banner similar to forum subscriptions.
* Adjusted the wardrobe, customiser, etc, to have arrows to click to move marking and decor layers up and down to fix some issues.
* Trades must now be explicitly set as "Private" or "Public" when they are being created. You will be reminded if you set it as "Private" and forget to enter an ID.
* Unique quest item rewards are now untradeable.
* Reduced chances of getting an injury or illness from Large and Medium hunting prey.

Minor Addition

* You can now sort your hoard by rotting soonest.
* Trade, Wolf, and Member searches now include sortable columns.
* You can now search wolves based on "Total Markings".
* "Buy Out" buttons on trades will now require you to confirm the action.
* The game now tracks how many rollovers a wolf has been in its pack for. This is reset on being traded and running away. This displays at the bottom of wolf pages and counters begin from December 4th, 2020 *edited to clarify.
* You can now set trades as "Buyout Only" if you are not interested in receiving offers.

Bug Fix

Also, not confirmed yet, but updated as we prep the news - Bone Decor for Adult stage had the stray pixel fixed. Your wolf image needs refreshing for the change to be visible.
