Increase (or remove) the monthly restriction of pair-bonded breedings

But yeah, we're not asking to lift it entirely (at least, I'm not), just make it less restrictive.

Well, considering how the two main issues people seem to have with the pair bonding mechanic is pups and studding, I do think people think studding is an end-all-be-all. It really isn't- and it's not that important of an aspect if you really think about it. There is no reason to breed pups, since you can just replenish your pack with NBWs that you find in explore, especially if you don't care about looks or stats. There isn't really a reason to stud out- it's expensive and doesn't always result in what you want. Sure, playing with only NBWs may not be really fun, but that doesn't break the game.

As for the puppies problem- just? chase? them? As far as I'm aware, chased pups insta grow up and join the NBW population. That, or they just enter the void and never appear again. Either way, they're no longer anyones problem until/unless someone befriends them in explore. You say there wont be enough demand for them unless a new feature is introduced, but we already have a feature and it's called fucking chasing?

As for raising the limit through events. Not everyone wants to participate in events, and we don't even know what events they have planned? We aren't sure if they're gonna be like the mother site's events, or something entirely different! Some people have enough hate talking on forums and in chat- having to earn the right to use a basic fundament in the game through events, is so BS? Why should we be forced to participate in events just to be able to use one function on site.

I wouldn't want the pair bonds to relate to the pack size. If people want to have a small pack solely of bonded pairs then they should be allowed to have that. It would be much better for the site in terms of litters being created, and would encourage those players to pay (literally) more care and attention to these wolves, such as through Grove items or trading with other players.

Pigeon, we're referring to the amount of times the bonds can breed a month. I love the fact that we can bond as many couples as we want, I just would like the option to breed more than 2 couples a month.

It's not something that has to be related to pack size, as I'm someone that wants to keep a pretty small pack myself. It's just one avenue that makes a lot more sense. There could definitely be other ways to expand it if it were to be a feature a player could put time into to 'grow' - not a fan of the idea of it being locked behind currency, but that's an option, or there could be other tasks required to unlock it.

Yes, I just didn't clarify properly. I was referring more to how I wouldn't want the amount of pair breedings to be dependent on territory or amount of wolves. (I just mixed up the two into a sort of incoherent passage).

Okay! I wasn't sure lmao. And yeah, I'd be absolutely open to any other suggestions as to how we could make the breeding maximum an achievable goal. I'm a player that plays very isolated, and I prefer to have very little player interaction (aside from buying necessities from TC), so any way for me to grind for more pair breedings a month without spending IRL money or interacting with other players tends to be my preferred method, and population milestones felt like a good way to achieve that. But I'm always open to hearing others suggestions.

Yeah! Like Goose said, the population milestones felt like a good solution, but more plausible ones can come up!

Yes, earning more breeding pairs is what I was overall trying to get at. Sorry that my words came off as a total disagreement. To clarify I'm not against this, just have concerns and feel earning breeding pair increases would be better vs outright removal is all.

Oh that's entirely valid! Having to grind for things, like territory slots for example, makes it overall more rewarding, and I will happily agree with that sentiment. I think, however, that the difficulty for earning more monthly breedings should grow exponentially rather than being static. Like the territory slots, starting out cheaper/easier to grind at first and slowly getting more difficult the more you earn.
