Increase (or remove) the monthly restriction of pair-bonded breedings

That's a lot of thoughts and I do not have much to say in response since I am still digesting much of it, Erianne, but it's very insightful and I loved reading through all of it. Though I do have to point out this even tho it's a bit off topic But outside of it, it’s kind of like chasing a puppy while it’s still weaned to it’s mom; the mom will have a mood penalty if that happens, so if a Pair Bond is broken it would make sense that both of them have a mood penalty too! Reading this had me go "eh?" Because I do not think that actually happens. I just had a wolf give birth and chased off the 2 potato babies while they are newborns, and her mood did not deplete at all. And I chased entire litters off of 2 other females that gave birth this week because they to had potato children, and they did not get a mood penalty either. Otherwise that's all. |

I Support 1 Million+ Percent! Even though i am Not yet able to get this feature juuuust yet. I am worried for it when i do get it based on what i heard from those that do have the feature. A lot were Not happy about things, esp with the quest that may need to be re-worded or better yet, resets the wolves like for the breeding male. I Still am testing out my gameplay mode which already does its job in managing my wolves so far so i am planning about how am i going to do this with only 2 breeding slots a month which indeed isn't good esp if i have certain pairs that is over that limit i want to breed. As for the market and studding...it's not gonna get worse for TC and Studding's not gonna change. People want more diversity in their own packs esp since for some, it can be hard to make a living esp from the TC and studding. Unwanted pups are already a thing right now and this feature while i enjoy the Idea of its use, isn't gonna make it worse since things are already bad anyway. This May work for small packs but big ones ...haha..no. Not gonna work out. And btw, those who want to say; "just don't have that many wolves and you'll be fine" These may be pictures but people still become fond of them and cannot choose who to get rid of If at all. People can and Will Get Attached (I do on LD so i know how that is) for one reason or another. It'd be the same as telling you to get rid of your child/pet when you say you're having a hard time making ends meet to keep bills paid and all of you fed. (Yes i made that comparison but everyone is different and have different lives and many may see these pictures as family/friend/pet they cannot/wish to have due to many reasons) the Devs are trying but maybe they're just trying...too hard at this point to be different than LD Yes the Breeding via 1 breeding male is from it and yes we want that out cuz these are wolves but there are other feature we all certainly love to have from LD like the scrying stone being able to see results of a pair regardless of age and gender cuz it's a 'what if' stone not an actual breeding attempt |

Didn't realize there was a thread for this, clearly I'm blind. I'll read the whole thread later, but for now, I absolutely support. (I support increasing the amount of pair breedings, and DEFINITELY support removing the cap altogether.) To me, this change feels like dangling something great in front of our faces, but not actually giving it to us. 'So close yet so far' kind of situation. The main reason it's being done this way seems to be to keep the studding system intact, but frankly, studding shouldn't be the most important thing on the site. Not everyone uses it, or cares for it. Some players just don't want to deal with it, we want to be able to have our own playstyles. Why should we all have to dance to a tune that only a small portion of players actually get to truly experience? Why should one facet of the game be considered SO imperative that it overpowers the potential greatness of any other feature? Open up the door for more possibilities and ways to play. WD could only benefit from allowing more fluid gameplay - forcing it down a single lane just makes the game more stagnant and uninteresting. |

Support! I would think it would be nicer if only the female had the normal breeding cooldown in this bonding. Isn't it enough ...🤷🏻♀️ |

I don’t know how I feel about this update. I think it’s weird that male wolves would have a different cooldown then their partner. You would technically have to wait two heat cycles to mate the pair again right? That, I think, meeds to be changed by bringing the male cooldown to match the female 20ish day cooldown, and hopefully not the female cooldown up to match the 30 day male cooldown. I don’t think unlimited pairs and breeding would be a good idea. But the limit should be higher. Your 15 breedings a month cooldown might be a good compromise (especially since I don’t have any better ideas lol). |

@Jessi Oh?? Their mood doesn't go down for you?? I don't chase non-weaned puppies too often, but every time I had, the female's mood went down. I might've gotten it confused with something else tho fkhsjhfkjshefksjef thanks for the insight and I'll ensure to fix that!! |

Yeah i'm super confused as to why there such a long cooldown for the paired males. I feel like it's fair to have the male cooldown be the same as the female cooldown if there's concern about people swapping around pairs too much. |

The more I think about it, why is the male cooldown there at all? They have to wait 30 days to form a new bond, so even without a cooldown they’re either tied to their mate’s heat cycle or have to wait 30 days to form a new pair. If anything, removing the 30 day restriction will encourage people to keep the pair bonds because right now the mood penalty is the only real disadvantage to breaking a bond. |

Support for removing the 2-per-month cap entirely, almost everything I
wanted to say on the issue I've already said in the breeding thread and
has been said by others. I'm actually fine with the long
cooldowns (both on breeding and breaking pairs), I even didn't mind the
decision to make males' cooldown longer than females (meaning if someone
wants to continue to breed a female every single heat they'd have to
use a different wolf, but I also get the argument to remove it/shorten it.) Like it's just so frustratingly bad it's not even a compromise between the almighty Stud Market and people who want something closer to a fantasy wolf sim. It feels like they aren't even trying to accommodate a non-harem playstyle or address the issue male pups are worthless and it's very discouraging. |
